How To Set Up Your Daiwa Zillion TWS Baitcaster: Beginner To Advanced Fishermen

Спорт

I have been asked many time through the years on how to set up a baitcasting reel to perform well. I recently bought some of the new Daiwa Zillions reels with the new TWS and Air Break System and I will show you how to get the best performance out of your equipment. This is for to beginners as well as the old school guys that have not seen these cool new features from Daiwa.

*Used this today for first time **enjoyable.fishing** recommend caught four bass with it, it seems to be a solid reel so far. Very smooth and cast like a dream. I think its a good value.*

Sir, you do an excellent commentary, very articulate, well described and devoid of some of the loud music that some of the other KZreadrs use to garner attention.

Best example of adjusting bait casters I've seen.....subscribed because I get frustrated trying to explain to newbies....I'll just send them your way! I've got the Type R, but now that I've seen your Zillion...That's next on my list....Thanks

I just purchased this reel from TW for a steal of a price. I'm a lews man at this point but Daiwa is the 1st low pro caster I ever used. I used the breaking system like I would on my bb1 pro. This video has totally showed me I'm wrong!!!!! Great tips. I hope my distance improves.

Great video. I just got a Zillion 1520xhl And took it out for a morning of overrun... I was adjusting my spool tension and totally ignored my mag brake. They have the mag brake adjuster tucked in and I plain forgot about it.. how embarrassing considering I have multiple Tatulas reels. I was thinking to myself on the water how my old models don’t backlash and maybe I made a mistake with the Zillion. Thanks for reminding me of both adjustments, totally slipped my mind.

The best performance I've found is no spool tension with a tiny bit of side to side play, and brakes at about 60% -70% on.

Such a great, simplified method. Can't thank you enough! I'm going to be fishing the flats in Florida for Reds, Trout, etc... I'm assuming the MagSealed version with 15lb. braid, will set up the same way? My rig will only be throwing topwater, and twitch sits, but there are oyster beds , so I need the braid. Thanks again.

1st ,Are you still using it?How has it held up since? 2nd ,Have you tried braid??And does it not backlash 3rd,Is this the only model by Daiwa with the backlash dial 4th,Will it throw heavy line good distance. 5th,Noticed you didn't leave 1/8 to 1/16 in depth on line spool. How many yards could i put on of 30lb braid Thanks Zedd

I love Diawa and the TWS breaking. But I think Shimano's SVS infinity is a little less complicated and easier to dial in

PCM24 97 and the free spool is better the Daiwa has better control of your long cast but a Shimano will pitch better

Jacob Joslin the Tatulas have them.....I use the Type R, and even kids and girls can cast without making a mess of things. The TWS and MagForce are two of the most innovative features I've seen in bait casting reels in a long time.

I have always set my baitcaster wrong by loosening the cast control a lot and only using 6 on the Mag-Z, but of course I thumb it dead when the lure lands in the water. That way I can cast a longggg way, but it wouldn't be fool-proof like the way you have done it.

The smaller BBZ-1 rats I build work really well with 12. 2.5 and rat 30 are like small square bill crankbaits.
