If you want viewers to "See how easy it is to install the Shelly Dimmer 2 without having to connect a neutral cable!!!" Then show them how easy it is to install!! A moving, unsteady camera shot of a completed installation just doesn't cut it! That said, thanks for your efforts.

Well you’re correct some of us appreciate the short video. In my opinion be better if he does a separate video showing wiring it up.

Thanks for this video. We have the impression that the bulbs flicker a little I have the same problem at home so I unplugged it because I am not sure of my assembly. And when I turn on the switch the light goes out after 4 seconds. I will give another try tomorow.

Nice video! Regarding your question at the end: sure there are other solutions, but they are either way more complicated to install, or way more expensive! Shelly produces awesome products. Where did you get yours if I may ask?

Thanks for the video. A question about wiring. In your "no neutral" picture you have 4 cables. I have only 2 cables going in to the back of my light switch, giving a switched live. What are your 4 cables? I downloaded the manual and still don't understand. Thanks 😊

Do you even have a wall switch? We don't see. I found your video when trying to make sure this would work with my wiring, but unfortunately this important bit of information is missing. (I think this is what the other poster meant when they commented above).

Yes, I use a pulse switch. And the colors of the series should explain itself. They are connected confirm the color codes that are usually used when you connect lights to wall switches.

You have to buy a shelly wire set with it. 1 black wire from that wire set you connect to the SW2 on the shelly and the other black wire goes to the L next to the SW2 on the shelly. These 2 black wires you have to connect to your switch. The brown one that you have disconnected from your switch goes to the other L on the shelly.

Mooi filmpje! Je ging heel snel over de aansluiting heen zonder N... Ik wil de Dimmer2 aansluiten zonder N en met een enkele pulsedrukker. Die enkele heb jij ook zie ik, maar ik ben dus benieuwd naar de enkele puls zonder N. Heb je daar al iets over gemaakt?

You can push the pause button if you like :) The wiring diagram is in the manual that comes with the Shelly Dimmer. It's really easy to install.

Nice video! 1 quick question, I saw somewhere you can also regulate the brightness by pushing the button for some seconds, with that same button. Can you explain how to settle up please? :)

@@dannyazcutia7602 No no, your question was clear. My switch does not support this. But there is a setting to set the Shelly to edge switch. I guess that might work if you have a correct switch.

Great question. Here in the US, I installed a switch by Levitron or Lutron and it works but not quite as elegant/simple/quick as a lever/wall-based dimmer (probably user issue!!). If you are interested, I'll dig up the KZreadr that recommended the switch and how it was wired.

is het ook mogelijk om 3 lampen met 3 dimmers simultaan te laten dimmen met 1 dubbele pulsdrukker? dus 1 knop voor brightness omhoog en 1 knop voor brightness naar beneden?

Als ze alledrie via dezelfde dimmer lopen wel denk ik. In dit geval zou ik persoonlijk voor een Zigbee oplossing gaan.

Hoi Ed, mijn vrouw vind een draai dimmer een must en wil geen app gebruiken. Daarom heb ik de zigbee ecodim geinstalleerd zodat ik die ook via Home assistant kan schakelen en bedienen. De Ecodimmer heeft een gewone draaiknop en zigbee, het is wel even wat gedoe om het werkend te krijgen in HA.

If you are driving multiple loads make sure they are all the same, don't mix wired transformers and switch mode. Shelly go boom otherwise, speaking from experience.

How can you dim the light with only the wall switch?
