This past year, we had a record year for butterfly surprizes and to top the list was finding colonies of the amethyst hairstreak, Chlorostrymon maesites. In. Once we captured a few live females for egg laying, now the trick it to get these tiny little butterflies to feel comfortable enough to lay eggs. We did it! In this video we will show you the process we went on in order to get these beautiful little butterflies to lay us some eggs so we can document the life cycle.
