Thanks for taking the time to do this. MS needs people to help sort their stuff. Their own opening comments to set up family don't reference the need to set up an account and so on. Your appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the vid. I remember a Family Safety icon appearing in the taskbar tray where the clock is in Windows 10. Is this still the case in Windows 11, an indicator on the child account computer itself that it's running?

@@FamilyTech Thank you for replying. Oh no, it was definitely Microsoft Safety, but maybe it only appeared when a notification for the limits would pop up. 🤔 Anyway, just a minor curiosity, I have it setup on a Windows 11 that was upgraded from 10. I'll just confirm once it's time to lock down. Thanks again. 😄

Can I just select an existing option in the Edge settings to block out pornographic websites? That's really all I'm concerned about and I don't want to go through the process of setting up Microsoft family and setting up another account. Thank you.

My two kids have one android tablet respectively one Windows computer and one android tablet. He is logged in with local user account and I have the admin account password. This is his computer. My questions: do we as parents has to be logged in with Microsoft accounts on our parents PC or is it enough that the kids use theirs Microsoft accounts on their Windows devices? Maybe non have to be logged in with MS account and only have one attached Microsoft family account? Please answer ASAP. Thanks for a great video! 😊

On som places Microsoft says that even smartphones is included but in the settings it only says windows and xbox decides in the time limit section. Which is it? This product is of total unuse for us if the time limit can't be divided on ALL devices (windows and android).... I'm getting very confused since I can see all devices on the first smaller screen time view but when I enter it there is only his windows computer. Have I missed anything? 🤔😒😒 Please answer.

If Microsoft Family Safety is to "hard" for you or your child, so you can use other parental controls apps. you are free to chose, depending on the age of a child or on the seriousness of control, eg K9 or Time Boss. Additionally you get forced breaks, limitation websites by time and others.

@@kovalenkoihor4325 That doesn't change what it's doing. What this does is take away any respect the child had for their parent and take away any chance of seeing them as an equal. This will either create a horrible relationship where the child only pretends to be a different person around their parent and sucks up to them and acts like they control them, or it just makes the child despise them. a much better way to encourage a child to spend less time on their devices is to play with them one on one more, go outside together, encourage them to go hang out with friends etc. setting screen time does nothing but make the child feel less then human when compared to their parent. And by the way 2 hours is not enough to do anything and I guarantee that your child will grow up with a hatred towards you unless you remove their limits.
