Just getting into pole fishing after 3 years of mental health issues. Andy’s enthusiasm and passion for this hobby is intoxicating. Just ordered a Preston Inception 3D 150 Seatbox. Saving hard for a Preston Monster Edge 10m pole. Thanks for sharing these amazing videos 🥳👍

Andy's bags, empty, are worth more than my whole tackle. Including his van, his whole set up cost more than I paid for my house. I have a Riva box with Octoplus legs (old metal hexagonal ones), my bait tray is about the size of his hook bag, my groundbait bucket is a £1 painters pot from Wickes, I have one holdall with poles, top sections, rods, bank sticks !!!!! and umbrella in (weighs a bloody ton). Large bait bag carries nets and tubs (Which doubles as flask and butty table.). Come on the fisheeees

Love Andy's video's but like you I could never afford this set up. Only recently started fishing and thought all I would need was a Rod Reel landing net & bait. Still love it though.

I think Andy mentioned but I would say that’s a great tip to make sure you put your rod rest on before the tray or roost etc… Done it numerous times, put a load of gear on my tray and had to take it off to clip my rest on! 😤

It's a bloody workout setting up! Interesting, no pole nose bungs for extra protection? Also, I like the rubber Preston end caps on one end just in case. For the landing net handle, I use one of those butt rest attachments with a little tulip Also, Preston (and you can have this one) a pole sock in a snaplock attachment makes a great cup holder :)

What angle, to where you cast, do you like your feeder rest and rod tip? I.E. some seem to point til towards cast but low so a bite lifts tip upwards but others have the traditional side movement of tip.

Andy, loads of gear but very business like when set up. Especially liked the pole roller advice, middle of section no5. A question..is it possible for Joe to do super slow mo video of your casting style? Because I noticed the rod came over your right shoulder and I'm sure your previous advice was to cast over your left shoulder even if you are right-handed. Any chance?

I struggle with set up as I go places where the pegs are designed for seat boxes like the one in this video and I have a chair, the hardest part is where to put the rod rest if the peg is slabs or wood and I want to sit close to the edge. Other than spending a small fortune on a seat box does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply Alan, I’ve looked into putting attachments on the chair but I’ve read that they are super sensitive to movement and unfortunately I am a bit of a toe tapper so I imagine the rod will be bouncing all over the place hahaha.
