If you ever get around to doing a video of you wearing it with your body armor and your thoughts of it that would be cool. Even if it’s just a short. Love the videos man keep doing what you’re doing and keep your feet and knees together.

Yeah I definitely will, this is something I’m interested in because it would allow conventional soldiers to wear standard body armor but keep their kit the same. I’m planning on jumping in the next few days as well to see how that goes if I’m able to. I’ll update y’all once I finish all this testing.

since i dont need the jump config, i use the front buckles to transition between strap lengths for plate carriers

Nice video. I have my ATAP set up very similarly. I keep my IFAK separated in a Raid pack. I used to carry two canteens on mine but downgraded to one. I use ATS pouches too. I use one of their large GP pouches on the back panel.

That was the goal, idk how consistent modern ones are to what we made but it's nice to see they're getting used. Probably could have designed something a bit more streamlined but the outline of the sdu5e pouch was so Iconic and the larger size of those kept it from being a smaller fit for the ms2000

I think you thought out pretty well how this should go. I like the little bungee loops to secure a wet weather top etc. on the top of the butt pack. I like how you preset your strap lengths for armor/no armor.

Thanks, a lot of that has just come from use. I have some others modifications I’m working on to slim it down for when you need less equipment. It will probably be a few weeks before it’s out though

So you wear this under your parachute harness while Jumping (I assume open, like the old school LCE style)? What about your plate carrier? You wear that as well, or is that crammed into your ruck?

Yes it’s worn under and open just like the old Lce, the plate carrier can be worn per the caasop but I typically will just put it in my ruck if I have to have it due to injury mitigation

@JUMPFIGHTDIE Neat, thanks. I always wondered, back when I was in, we only jumped CE with the LCE (or just the Ruck and M1950 Weapons Case w/ no web gear), or just straight up Hollywood Jumps lol. Always wondered WTF I was supposed to do with my IOTV if we ever actually had to do anything, my unit always just shrugged and never had an answer lol

I have an extreme dislike for camelbacks.. but have recently started experimenting with a plastic flask in AR15 mag form factor (did a short video on them if your interested; liberty flask) and like that my "backup" water supply can be doubled up on belt slots, in pants; on plate carrier etc; like on belt I'm using a mag pouch with drop pouch molled to it; so get it in a free slot for example. they don't hold much water; I'm still experimenting but I've thinking of using one as primary water and to ration how much water I get out of my bladder with some ranger beads

I always carry at least a full canteen on me. When I have my ruck I drink from it. Either camel back or 2qt canteen that way when i get separated from my ruck I will have a full qt with me.

Hey man. Your canteen pouches look like they're taking up two instead of the normal 3 columns of PALS. Did you just weave it through and put the 2 tabs next to eachother? I'm trying to maximize my usage of every single column - currently my planned setup is rather similar. 2 Double M4 pouches, an HSGI bleeder, and a canteen. How do you fit the canteen? I'm short 1 column of PALS. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, my canteen pouches are only on two molle. Usgi canteen pouches easily will fit on only two molle and they are still completely usable as intended. Another thing you might do is just to run your pouch on to the two adjustment straps. The straps align with molle/PALS spacing. The radio pouch i believe is fire force, the flap mag pouches are eagle industries, the speed one is high speed gear.

How do you wear it while rucking? Does the buttpack/rear pouches cause discomfort or get in the way?

Depends, if works good with Alice ruck and ok with molle 4k you just need to be aware of how much stuff you out back there and not put a lot of it will dig into you. I’ve put stuff in a plastic bag that i stowed in the flap of my ruck then put it in the back panel when I got to where i was going. That probably worked best

@@JUMPFIGHTDIE I assume you’re running the ATAP setup as is and then the body armor slick? I use to run my ATAP with the MSV. Now I have to use the IOTV Gen4 since I’ve left my previous unit and it is quite annoying using the ATAP with the GEN4

@matthewroberson3204 yeah i ran it slick, tbh you should just have an iotv set up and your ataps for when you need a chest rig. Everything is mission and unit dependent between what you need and what your allowed to do yk

Check out legion preparedness, he had some good video on where to start as far as making an iotv work. There’s lots of mods you can do to a gen 4 to get it to fit and work more like a plate carruer

5.11, there are better pouches from better brands but this is what I had so it’s what I’ve been using.

@bananastand9820 i use a a dump pouch made by flat line fiber co. It’s small and doesn’t take up any molle space because it weaves below pouches.

I still prefer the FLC though.
