Inside a garbage can I cut up 5 gallon buckets and lined them with different mess sizes. 4, 10, 20, 50 and 100 mesh. Figuring same size dirt will make gold separation more efficient. Checking my backyard Home Depot pool sand. I ain't finding no gold. Fun tinkering...later

Drywashing still comes down to yards shoveled. As for carrying the water, you almost need a second vehicle to get all your gear and water out to the desert.

It still comes down to yards moved once you find a spot to shovel. I thought the water weight was 7.? A gallon, still if you're going to spend some time in the desert you'll need a lot of water. With all the equipment a person brings out already that would take a second vehicle.

Jack, what's your thoughts on electro-static effect on gold recovery in a dry washer?

Vibrio static I’m sure works when the dirt is very dry it creates static. This can charge the riffles and grab and hold onto the gold.

Do you notice much difference between the gold catching in straight or Hungarian riffles?
