How To Set Up A Curado DC Properly
The Shimano Curado DC baitcaster is a higher end cost baitcaster that some people love and some people hate. In order to get the most out of the digital control system of the Curado DC, I am going to show you exactly how to configure it properly for the BEST performance.
I'm going to cover the differences between regular baitcasters and the Curado DC and WHY it's so important to understand those differences.
Don't get out on the water with your Curado DC and after those largemouth or smallmouth bass until you've watched this video!

Just got my 201HG and I cannot read the manual bc it's all in Japanese! I bought JDM version, lol. Not sure if there is even a diff from the US sold model. I love my 151HG DC. Thought I'd check out the 200. Can't wait to set it up. Thanks for the vid.

Only thing I can think of is that the Open (side plate) setting on mine comes after 4, not before 1. Perhaps that might be bc I have a left-hand crank model. Not sure.

@@michaelcabusi2155 it could be, it may be reversed for LH vs RH. Were you able to find an English version of the manual online or do you need to make some quick Japanese friends for translation? Thanks for the feedback and enjoy that masterpiece!

OPEN is to take the side plate off for cleaning and lubricant. Definitely NOT a brake setting haha. Don't fish with OPEN.

I paired it with a 7’ 2” Tatula MH rod. I was going to pair it with a Shimano rod, but I have a few already I can put this on as well.
