Pen and Ink can be kind of intimidating at first, so thank you for introducing them in this way. I rest my pens/pencils on my ring finger which is a hard habit to break. I also think I grip the pen holder too tight, which makes my hand suuper tired after awhile when trying to do calligraphy! Helps a lot to see the proper way to hold the pen. :)

I'm so glad that you found it helpful! I chatted about my journey as a calligrapher in our first studio chat episode: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kaqHxNpmqpOxn9Y.html If you have any specific questions though, let me know! I'd be happy to share more :)

@@AntiquariaDesignStudio I will go watch that episode. I am a full time artist myself (embroidery is just a stress relieving activity until i decided to make it into a youtube channel) and I am always getting asked how i was able to turn my art degree into a real job that pays. I too am always interested in how other artist such as yourselves turned their artistic talent into a profession. Out of everyone that graduated from my art program (20 years ago), I know that only 3 people including myself are working in the art field and everyone else has moved into corporate, office or government work.

That is so interesting! I went to school for retail merchandising thinking that I didn't want to have to rely on my creativity for income. As much as it can be challenging, I am glad that I found calligraphy and have made it work! I think coming from a bit of a business background helped me with self employment, pricing and all of the challenges creative businesses face! What sort of art do you professionally?
