I started out as a single mom too and retired by the age of 30. The advice you gave is really good and it is true that so many people guard helpful information and are not always so forthcoming so when you get the opportunity to get help or advice from someone then consider yourself very lucky and inhale every word! That's wonderful that you are willing to help others.
Well it's 5 years since your video, and I found it very insightful still! Thank you, and I am also at home full time but with no children my time management skills need work. I just adore your clean, unpretentious, simple approach.
Your nino is too cute!! and hats off to you for staying home and raising your child!
You are a very good Speaker, very intelligent and a wonderful artist! I love your blog! And OMG that baby !!!! Adorable :) I like this video its very informative!!!!
Hi Amy, I'm very glad you took the time out to make this excellent video. Thank you. Im am so inspired and going by all your great feedback, you have helped others too. Isn't it wonderful to do something you like to do, while spending precious time with your beautiful child. Continued prosperity to you!
Wow that little cowboy has serious head of hair! Great info thanks, and no smoke alarm squeaks .
Hi Amy. My name is Kyriaki and I am from Greece. I have been working as an office employee for almost 20 years. Recently I decided to try and make a living out of painting (which has always been my dream). I find your videos very inspiring and I would like to thank you so much that you share your knowledge with the rest of us. Your boy is so cute. (By the way this is my lovely daughter at the photo). Take care.
You should do a room tour on one of the rooms in your house that's decorated with your art...I would love that!
Thank you for sharing yourself and your baby's cuteness. I am just contemplating work-at-home after retiring. This helps!
thnx for your experienced advice.....i stuck to my price and did well at my first craft fair with my ledgers......love your art so much and your music
.I'm trying to get started selling my art work and this video has helped me so much. Thanks Amy
I'm just now starting out to make and sell my art online. I love hearing your advice. Thank you so much for sharing.
Craigslist? I would never have thought of that! Great information, and I really needed it! I just sold something that was in a fair and I had nowhere to direct her to go on the internet because I have no website. I have to get organized. Thanks a lot for this video! :) I also like your other tutorials. I learned birch trees from you. :)
Hi Amy. Thank you so much for all this beautiful and really helpful advice. I'm with you on shipping and handling! It's the one thing that puts me off selling online. I bought a hairband from a company online recently, and it came packaged like a birthday gift from a dear friend.. I will return to that store again. xxx
You are such an inspiration! Thank you so so much!
Thank you again for what you are doing and sharing with the world.....still need to know a little more about that beige background you did on the dandelions.
Where do you find your discounted canvases, paints and brushes online?
What an inspiration you are Amy, love your Art xx

it's amazing people still love crafts ..I love crafts like knitting tailoring n waste recycles but don't know wat to do wit da finished stuff. I m 4m north east India n people ds side r not interested in arts crafts or don't know how to have a hobby or start
Thank you so much for all the amazing ideas! I do agree....I will just focus on selling locally. I feel it is just too expensive to ship things these days.
I'm really bad with keeping track of how much time I spend on a painting especially since I only sell my art on the side (I have a regular job away from home), I've heard people pricing their product based on size, like charging $0.40 per sqr inch. What is your opinion on that method?
Thank you soooo much. This was amazing. Its motivated me to keep going
Thank you for all awesome information. Your little guy is adorable.

Thank you very much, Amy! Your works and passion are an inspiration for me. I'm a crafter and usually work with a paper. In your videos I always can find something new to try and thank you for that! Your baby (in this video) is soooooo cute! All the best to you and your family! :)

Valuable advice. Thank you!
Thank you. Great video x
How do you tactfully ask for their addresses?
Thank you for your tutorials. He, Manny?? is SO cute! I really want to be able to retire soon, so I hope to learn everything I can. Good for you for staying home with the little one. I did that by buying, fixing up and selling or picking things up that were put out by the trash, fixing it and either using it to save us money or selling it. I have a full time job now since all my kids grew up, and Iam just getting too old to mess with furniture and appliances anymore, so hoping to move into this.. Then I can retire and travel while making a living! Sorry I am so long winded...😊
you're awesome Amy, great vid
Hi Amy. Would you be available to answer a few questions? Love your videos and how you are down to earth and keep it real. It's very inspiring! Amanda

Thank You! It's been year's since I've had a business&I really want to do it right without spending as much as I make. Lol!
Thank you Amy! Gonna apply a few of those tips to our business. Also gonna visit your blog and facebook page... watch for Krafts 'N' Kaboodles
Thank you very much, you helped me alot.😊
you really did a great job you have a beautiful little boy
Thank you for the video. I am also a Crafter too.
I love your videos. Thanks for your kindness. =)
Be too firm and you will loose the sale. It's not wrong to negotiate. You will make more sales unless you like collecting your work. I find that many artisans price their good way beyond the best price sweet spot based on an unrealistic cost of making the product and their perceived high value of the their labor to make the item. #10 is very good advice.
your little guy is such a cutie
hi amy thank u for the inspiration and helpful tips .iam starting to paint but have alot of stores to pick from it will really help out if you can point some good ones out for cheap material thanx in advance
thanks for the great informational video!
Great suggestions, and I enjoyed some other videos, especially the birch trees, I'm going to do those soon, Thank You for you inspiration, and God Bless.
Thank youuu! that was so helpful!! :)
what actually is a blog? I've heard it many times.
wow! great tips!
I know that this is a really old post, but I just found you today. I've just started trying to start selling my art. Just opened an Etsy store a few weeks ago and not having any luck even with getting viewed yet. I feel like I don't even have time to make more paintings because I'm having to spend so much time trying to learn all of this Etsy ranking and SEO crap. lol. There is so much competition...I just want to paint and at least make a living. Not trying to get rich! lol...I like what you said about selling locally. I think that I'm going to put more focus into that... I do have a question for you. With the Christmas holidays coming up, do you paint any special holiday paintings or do anything different to focus on selling around this time of year? Thanks for all of your great tips!
Very inspirational. I am new at selling and I appreciate the time you spent to make this video. I learned a lot from it.
Thank you!
thanks amy! this is helping me a lot
Loved the video! Thanks for the encouraging words.
You said bartering when you meant bargaining. Bartering is trading your product for another product or service of equal value. Kathy B.
Great information, simple and to the point!
What a lovely lady you are ... and your little boy is so gorgeous. Thanks for your tips and taking the time to do this video.
Girl, I love you. I love your work, your personality. Your boy is soooooo cute ♥ Thank you for your advice.

Your Lovely Amy ! Thanks for your tips . What community do you sell your art ? Peace
thank you, Amy. nice info..=)
This was so helpful, thank you! You mentioned selling online & locally like at fairs, farmer's markets ect.... I have been trying to research on what I need legally to do that, like a business license ect? Do I? Can I sell as a hobby rather than a business/LLC, ect? Thanks again!

Farmers markets and fairs should have policies on selling , that could be a start. They should be able to tell you if they require that you have a business license. Maybe speaking with someone at a local farmers market that is already selling crafts, they should have a lot of info for you . Follow Amy's advise and DO what a succesfull person DOES. Happy crafting :).
I clicked the video...saw the baby...liked👍👍👍❤
