    Whatever you can do to make your listing stand out and whatever you can state in certain elements of the listing will help when people search the item, it will be more likely that someone will go with yours if it has something different than the other 73 listings that were copied from some original listing.

    @@TheATVHustle Yeah it is a business after all, ebay that is… I suppose it depends on the nature of what your market is as well. They really charge high on certain things, and i have noticed if you accept an offer, the percentage ebay takes is based on the full asking price, there are tons of small discrepancies like this.

    Hey dude, Binge watching during dinner. I group stuff together to create value for the customer especially when I don't have a lot into the stuff. I am an opportunist buyer/ reseller so when I came across this 1964 GI joe footlocker full of stuff, there was a tripod with a surveyor piece that goes on top. I sold it for $250 while I had $100 bucks into the lot. Sold a few other things out of it that made whatever amount. Well, I moved across country and still small load of weapons and accessories still in the package, Marine and Navy Manuals. I let that stuff fly in one lot for great value relative to what stuff goes for and it went FAST. I am talking like 15 minutes. It's not going to be fast like that for everything obviously. The more desirable, the better. However, if it's maybe less desirable inventory, lot it up together or add it to something else as like a bonus.

    Every now and then I decide to go buy something random to resell. At one point in 2021 I had a large storage unit full of books I bought for very little. I don’t know much about the gi joe stuff other than old toys can have high values!

    @@TheATVHustle I have mastered looking up what stuff actually sells for so I can spot random opportunities without knowing much about them. You somewhat have to still be excited about actually listing the stuff or it becomes dead inventory in my experience. I guess that's where discipline should take over. Getting better with that discipline stuff but I still have a lot of work to do to chalice over the reasons why I don't get listings done.

    Good tips. I bought a bunch of nos kawi and yamaha parts when a dealer was downsizing. At first it was selling very good but it really slowed down once they added tax to sales here in canada. But the good news is i only have 300 listed of thousands of items on hand. Lots to do. The little stuff like o rings and small hardware i will bulk sell just to make room. I use shippo for shipping, it is fantastic and cuts out a headache! Those large numbers on your tag, is that the last digits of your item number? I have my stuff sorted by the first digits of the actual part number. Cheers

    I feel like I’m really fast listing the nos stuff. It’s probably my favorite to list. Yes, the big numbers on the tags is the last 4 of the eBay item number. It also has the full item number on it. It is pretty much our whole inventory system.

    I'm a bit confused about sell through rate. I heard a sell through rate under 20% should be avoided, but is that based on the last 90 days? And if it is 20% would it eventually sell at some point over a span of five 90 day periods (ie. 5 x 20% for 100% sell rate) ??

  • @TheATVHustle

    @TheATVHustle

    Жыл бұрын

    I don't really focus on sell through rates, it's more of if this type of machine sells or not. Your sell through will completely depend on what machines they are though. Some parts just don't sell so that machine would never have a 100% sell through rate, if this were my focus i would only list the good stuff that sells in 1 week to a month. The way i see is from what we actually are selling, i may have 3 identical clutch baskets for 4 months and then sell all 3 over the course of 2 weeks. Parts can be a little seasonal as well.

    I have a few videos on the top machines I like to part out but I’m not on the computer to send you the links. I would aim for the biggest machine you can, usually the bigger bore stuff sells better. Find a few that you can learn on, maybe shoot out a few offers and try to grab more than one around $100 each.

    It depends on the model, if there is a demand then selling them complete is the way to go. 90% of dirtbikes are much better as bottom ends. You would make more selling individual parts though.

    Yea I do it exactly as a regular listing with new photos and all. If you keep the issues low it’s really not that many relists. I store my stuff differently than most people in the industry. Check out the video on how I store my inventory and maybe that would help you out. We some times have an issue finding an item but it’s almost always my fault for putting it in the wrong place 😂. Sometimes it’s due to a listing issue or was misplaced during our moving shops.
