So... did you sell and manufacture, or mostly order and sell? Your shop looks pretty capable.

humm this is going to be a long answer. 75-78 worked for a contractor. 78-85 started my own business, did some cabinet refacing, started my own cabinet shop. 85 went to work for a cabinet company with 35 employees. this is where my passion for sales started. i would say because i came from a single parent in a coke oven patch town. i sold retail kitchens , but i would sell more than the install teams could handle so i started selling commercial casework as well. those were the good old days.... about 12 years ago i decided to build my own shop, that is what you see in the videos today, yes I do custom case work, build some kitchens and also use conestoga wood cabinets.so full circle there is a certain appeal creating something with your own hands ... standing back and and saying wow i did that, and that elation of a customer you that is perfection... sorry this became so long

Since you are new to the industry a small tip. I first thought there was money in the installing cabinets and cabinet refacing. So I installed. Soon after i thought no it is in the fabrication of cabinets so i built a small shop. I finally realized the money is not in either one of them it is in the sale of cabinets. That is where the real money is, not in commission... but selling product directly to the consumer. That is the Profit area in cabinet industry !@@sethhamilton5824
