How To Self Drive The Best Safari - Etosha National Park, Namibia

DON'T MISS OUT: Our Self-Drive Safari in Etosha National Park | Namibia
✤ Welcome to “9B4M The Family Adventures” ✤
Lets's visit Namibia and go on a self-drive safari in Etosha National Park. Namibia is a beautiful country in Southwest Africa and is the driest country south of the Sahara Desert. Filled with multiple deserts, sand dunes, mountains, savannas, and the Skeleton Coast, Namibia is truly a unique country.
This video is the first in a series of videos that covers our nearly two-week stay in Namibia. First up on our trip was Etosha National Park, a massive 4,760 km2 (1,840 sq mi) National Park in Northwestern Namibia. Etosha means "great white place" and is a description of the massive Etosha salt pan in the middle of the park. The Etosha Pan is so large it can be seen from space. As the greatest wildlife park in Namibia, Etosha is a must-see national park. Etosha has an astounding list of wildlife include lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, cheetah, hyena, mountain and plains zebra, springbok, kudu, oryx, and eland. Among the smaller species, you will find jackal, bat-eared fox, warthog, honey badger, and ground squirrels. And we saw everything, but the large cats. But we did see baboons!
We also offer our best trips and tricks to self-drive Etosha. Please leave any questions in the comment sections and I answer any questions I can.
I have to acknowledge ‪@WODEMAYA‬ and ‪@TayoAinaFilms‬ for inspiring me to travel to Africa.

Spent Easter weekend in the Kruger. Because of rain we didn't see many animals but even bird life can be entertaining. Looking forward to finding out more about people of Namibia and their lifestyles.

It's good that you both focused on the richness of life in the harshest of environments. Thanks. Having lived most of my life on the edge of a wildlife reserve in East Africa, I am accustomed to stopping for elephant on my way to work, for example. However, with increasing drought and unpredictable rains I worry greatly for the future.

Fascinating country, thanks for posting. I did a two week solo self drive camping safari in Namibia in October 2022. It's truly great to stay inside Etosha National Park. The early morning game drives are incredible and the Okaukuejo waterhole at night is amazing. 9:20 is at Halali campsite waterhole. 18:42 Ozonjuitji m'Bari waterhole.

Namibia gets water from mist coming in off the sea. That’s how the desert creatures survive. They put up nets there now to trap the moisture. I get your point about the goats, but having too many of them has destroyed the vegetation and land in many African countries. So, goats aren’t altogether a good thing. Yes, Africa is very cold at night especially in desert areas.

Great upload. Namibia is a large and beautiful Country with very diverse wildlife. Not so beautiful is their Government who have recently rounded up 55 wild elephants out of their natural habitat and sold them off to International bidders in violation of the International Wildlife Treaty. It's not common knowledge, I subscribe to National Geographic and was very shocked to read about it.

Sadly all nearly all the large animals around the rest of the planet got killed off when humans showed up, the ones in Africa co-evolved with us and learned to be wary of us. We did not need to be great hunters the animals outside of Africa were probably completely tame. The exception was the mammoth, which was killed off by the end of the ice age.
