The size of the first heaven is just like when you drop a ring to the Arabian desert. I mean the ring is the whole universe and the desert is the first heaven. To answer your question Leroy, the reason we find the universe to be younger when we look out into it, is because whenever we measure travel time in space, it is measured in light years. Light years, being the amount of time it takes ,for light to travel in a year to reach us, we cannot see unless light is reflected back from our eyes. So for instance if a planet is 1 light year away and we finally see it, what we're seeing is what it was 1 light year ago, because light has just reached us after the travel, we are not looking at that planet's current state, we are looking at what it was 1 light year ago. It is a little confusing, I hope I was able to explain it to you.

The universe which is 14.5 billion light years across and still expanding is the first heaven. This whole universe is the size of a ring placed in a desert compared to the second heaven and the second heaven is the size of a ring in a desert to the third heaven and this goes on up to the seventh heaven and the seventh heaven is the size of a ring in a desert to the Arsh of Allah swt. No matter which direction you look at, if you can catch the furthest light, that means light has to travel that loong distance for it to reach your eyes and takes the longest times, meaning what you see is the distant past of that area not what's happening right now on that area.

Mr Le roy, science has not advanced yet up to that level to prove as explained in Quran. Next generation of scientist may continue to find out the facts. Who can say that in 1400 years ago ??? It's only the creator.. Please accept the fact. I will suggest you to read the book written by Dr Maurice Bucaille "Bible, Quran and science".

The fact that she interpreted “7 heavens” as the “7 phases of the Big Bang” kind of worries me lol. Because Islamic tradition as far as I know say that whatever you see above that’s only first heaven. The other heavens we simply cannot see as they are in a different dimensions. It’s part of the unseen world. But I don’t know, the verses are not only scientific so interpreting them that way be not be doing them justice. That and Allah knows best. May Allah guide us all to the truth and grant Jannah paradise l. Amen

What she was describing we cannot see actually. Scientists have reached that conclusion based on the parts we can see and behaviour of matter in the observable universe. So there is nothing to worry you. We cannot see the rest of the 6 heavens. No one can, no telescopes no NASA, no one. The farthest any explorer equipment has gone to is Pluto in our solar system. So don't worry 😄

Hello Leroy, there's something called Doppler's effect in physics. It when sound is pereceived differently depending on wether the source of sound is still, moving towards you or away from you. If it's moving toward you, the sound waves will be compressed and will sound differently compared to when its moving away from you or standing still. The Doppler's effect also happens to light, therefor when we study big sources of light in faraway galaxys, we'll see that their colour changes depending on wether the stars are moving away from your or moving towards you. Also, since it takes a lot of time for light to reach us from a far away star, the light we see will give us an old image. For example, if you look at the sun right above us, you will not see the sun as it is right now, instead you will see it as it was 8 minutes ago since that's how long it takes for light to reach us from the sun. And if you star gaze at night, you might be looking at stars that died millions of years ago but their light reached you just at this moment. That way if you look at certain directions and angles into the sky, you can actually see light from billions of years ago, reaching us only now.

This does make sense. The farther you look out into universe, you are looking back in time. Hence the younger it is, in a sence that it was created first, or before our part of universe. If you use an example of a supernova expoding maybe it would be easier for you to understand and it's something we actually have observable proof of. When a supernova explodes and we see it from earth it's not a real time observation. It has actually exploded many light years ago but we only observe it in our time because that's when the light of explosion reached us. Basically by the time we see it it has long gone and decimated. Anything we can observe in the universe we cannot observe it in real time because it's so far away. Our vision is limited to observable light and the speed of its travel. It's kind of mind blowing when you first start to study this subject 🤯

Quran n Hadith gave us the descriptions in heaven n hell. We can never see thm unless we die a believer. Frm 1st heaven to 2nd heaven until 7th heaven is 500 yrs each. .

They could tell by the way the galaxies are moving they are moving in a specific direction, therefor whatever area they’ve moving away from is considered the beginning. Expanding from one direction outward.

What was meant by "the farther we look, the younger the universe is", is referring to they way light reaches Earth. For example, the twinkling stars we see in the distant may be dead for all we know, but it's light is still travelling through space to reach us. So in essence, what we see is the past, not the present. The further something is from us distant wise, the further into the past we see, since the light we see from Earth is light that had been travelling for millennias.

30. He it is Who created the seven heavens in layers, so that you do not see any difference in the creation of the Most Gracious. So turn your eyes again, and see a crack. 4. Then turn your eyes again and again (to the sky), and your eyes will return to you humiliated and weary. 5. Verily, We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps,(stars) and made them stones for the devils. And We have prepared for them the punishment of Hell. 6. Those who disbelieve in their Lord will have the punishment of Hell. What a miserable consequence! ( Surah Al Mulk)

The Qur’an mentioned the 7th Samaa And he did not mention the 7th heaven.. The word heaven or heavens are only explanatory words in English, not the original words of Samaa and Samawat, which It means all that is higher and higher than the surface of the earth, And I think that the word Sky ( not heaven) is closer to a translation valid for all times and ages, for the word Samaa . Now we must know what is the translation of the word Smaa, which is valid for our time. God Almighty said: ‘ And Samaa has built it with hands, and indeed, We (are) surely (its) Expanders ’ (Al-Dhariyah - 47) The word Samaa here came singular and means the universe because we know that the universe is in a state of rapid and continuous expansion. And since it came singularly and not followed by a number, this indicates that the Samaa to which the verse refers is our Samaa, meaning our universe in which we live, and this also means that the other six Samawat are also parallel universes to our universe and are also flat like ours and exist as flat layers above our universe. Evidence for universes are flat and parallel one on top of the other God Almighty said (Did not see how God created seven Samawat one above), and also said: (The Day when We will fold the Samaa like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it (104) Parallel universes is a theory developed by some scientists, but they could not prove its existence. Why ? . We simply could not look at the edges of our universe, so how can we see that it reaches other universes that are far away from us enormous cosmic distances Scientists say that the diameter of the Milky Way Galaxy is 105,700 light years, and the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, says that the distance between the first sky and the second sky is 500 years, and the distance between the second and third sky is 500 years and so on ... between what the Prophet said and what the scientist say There is a contradiction because if we accept that the distance between the Earth and the second universe is 500 years, this makes the second universe inside the Milky Way galaxy and this is not possible. But if we go back to the words of the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, we will find that there is a gate separating the first sky from the second sky, and that the road between the skys is called Maarij. I think this explains everything. The distance between our universe and the second universe is enormous, but you find a gate that is 500 years away from the Earth, that is, inside the Milky Way that enables us to shorten the distance and pass to the second universe, and this skyly gate that was mentioned in the prophetic lines and in the Qur’an is what scholars now call the wormhole. . And upon entering that wormhole, it must pass through a spiral path called Maarij.

TRUTH will prevail

To get the age and distance of Stars and Galaxy, specifically different method used separately. Method for younger and near galaxy and star simply won't compute or begin to compute for old and further away because variables doesn't change from one to second sample for computing the difference between the variables which would have give rough idea how far and young the galaxy might have been. For more detail explanation read the BBC article titled, "It took centuries, but we now know the size of the Universe".

11:45 if I get your question correct what is being said is that when something happens in the vast universe we wont know about it imediately depending how far the light is, light travels at 600+ million miles per hour being the fastest thing in the universe known to man. The way we get visual information is by light which bounces on subjects and sends it to our eyes, and whatever happens around you on earth you can see it immediately if you can see it because the light is so fast that it can travel around earth in no time. Lets take the example of the dinosaurs which you might have seen on social media. If there were aliens 60 million light years from earth(meaning it would take the light 60 million years to go to that planet where the aliens are living) and if they had some advanced tech when they can see the small creatures and everything on earth, they wouldn't see humans and building and things that are happening right now but they would see dinosaurs which apparently lived about 60 million years ago. Which means at that time earth was young they are not seeing the present earth, they are seeing how the earth used to be 60 million years ago. And that's a rule that cannot be changed only if u have some advanced tech that for example sends the light coming to earth to this planet in 5 years meaning the aliens will see the events that happened on earth 5 years ago which for us have passed you guessed it 5 years ago, same if they had tech that can teleport the light hitting earth in 5 hours the aliens would see the events that happened on earth 5 hours ago, but if they had tech that can teleport light in an instant it would mean that they would see the events on earth happening live. Same if they were over 4 billion lightyears from earth they would see earth probably just like a rock or however it was back then. And same if we sent astronauts on mars and we had a very very big telescope where we can see the humans standing on mars, we would see them doing things that they were doing three minutes ago, because it takes light aprox 3 minutes to travel from mars to earth, and is a monster ate them, we wouldnt know about it until 3 min later. We are in the lowest heaven... So it means no matter which way you look will be within the first heaven... In other words we can only look our past (from the point our universe i.e. lowest heaven started inflating/expanding)... To be more specific we can only see (offcourse with the help if best telescope) the area which is inflated bcz we are inside that... What I understand is that our Milky Way galaxy is moving away from Big Bang so much fast that light which was omitted from Big Bang didn’t reached on earth and continuously chasing. Similarly e.g. Sun light takes 14 minutes to reach earth though its a constant distance b/w earth and sun, but as universe is continuously expanding so omitted light from the Big Bang is chasing earth but not able to catch. To explain the theory of looking further away you see younger galaxies. Well the further away you look the longer it takes for that light to reach you so imagine if a planet was 10 light years away meaning if we were traveling at the speed of light it would take 10 years. Then by the time a light travels from that planet to our eyes it would have taken 10 years to reach our eye. So meaning you are looking at 10 years in the past thus younger. It’s just like if you were to shine a light from a really far distance and by the time that light reaches you then already a certain amount of time has passed. That’s why scientists say that when we are seeing something away from our solar system we are looking at the past and not the future. If a planet explodes then it’s light will take time to reach us and the further and further away you go beyond the galaxies the great the time for light to travel

As per my knowledge First Heaven is the heaven of stars and galaxies. After that there are no stars

Our telescopes can see only 93 billion light years perimeter and that's our visible universe. But there are also The Dimensions that we are exploring just recently and how the universes fit into these dimensions. These dimensions are big part of the WORLD OF THE UNSEEN as Allah (SWT) has pointed to us in Qur'an Kerim.

Guys open your eyes..do not listen to this British channel. Cross reference all the verses she talked about and you will see some additions in it. For example, quran ch2:49 does not say anything about the flatness of the heavens.

Where did this come from? I’m a Muslim, but I strongly dislike when translators try to interpret the Quran to match currently accepted science. Only Allah knows, and we should try our best to interpret as close to the original Arabic as possible, without infusing our own limited understanding in it.

It's because light can only move at the same speed in vacume. Thus it need time to travel. The further the light source, the more time is needed. For instant, the sun light need 8 minutes to reach us. So, if the sun vanish, we can only see it 8 minutes later. How far is the nearest galaxy? Let say 20lightyears. So what we see in the telescope is the distant galaxy 20 years ago. So, what he meant is the further the star we see the younger they are because what ever we see is the light emitted as far as the amount of time it need to travel to us. If you can get what I meant then good, if not then. 😑. Not everyone are science oriented

As far as my understanding goes, the heavens are 7, meaning 7 universes, our universe being the lowest. And the difference in size between each universe is compared to a ring in a desert. If our universe is the size of the ring the next universe is the size of a desert, the 2nd universe is size of a ring and the 3ed universe is size of a desert and so on.

it mentioned in quran that every thing written in quran will be true in every age of knowledge(science) till end of universe. but you will understand Quran in better way after every age of quran . because at present we knows nothing in comparison with laws hidden in universe .

Hey bro, about looking back in time, humans can't see objects. We only see (the light) that reflected from objects. When we look into the space using a telescope, we can see the light reflected from stars, planets, galaxies... etc. When scientists says they found a star (1000 light years) away from earth, that means, the light omitted from that star had to travel in space for a 1000 years to reach us. That means, when we look at that star we r seeing a light omitted a 1000 years ago. What we r seeing is the star as it was a 1000 years ago. The more u look deep in space, the more u look back in time. That what Einstein discovered and thats why he said that its not a Space, its a Time-Space. The farther u look into the space, the farther u look in time.

Trillions of galaxy’s and what only creation on earth? Allah doesn’t stop creating but we are one of the best of all his creation he does mention it

no..Quran says there was one entity and it has got separated in two- elements[ gas solid liquid and others ] and space (everything which is not element) .Quran also mentioned that Allah is owner of this state. it implies that this universe is in a particular state with change of time. It means this universe is changing its state as as Allah want and Allah has authority on all . With the change of the Aalam(state)universe is expanding .and with the expansion of the universe time is passing quickly than before. At end of the universe time will pass as quickly as years will became days. A hypothesis - If we think in terms of science and assuming space as waves and it has some frequency . when we increase the frequency infinitely waves became flat . if it get flat than it will travel fast . and if it travel fast than it will cover more distance in less time . it will make time to pass fast..

Это сообщение приводят 'Усман ад-Дарими в «ар-Радд ‘аля аль-джахмия» 81, Ибн Хузайма в «Китаб ат-таухид» 594, ат-Табарани в «аль-Кабир» 8987. Хафиз аз-Захаби назвал иснад достоверным.
