If you have leaks on the floor around the toilet that means you need to replace your wax ring.
Can i use a silicone instead?

Yes do the backside too go all the way around. It’s hard to show the backside on camera

what does that mean?
I'm curious why you want to seal your toilet to the floor. If your wax gasket failed, you may not ever know until the subfloor beneath the toilet is trashed.

Not exactly. It’s water it will find its way out. Typically you will notice that your grout lines in the tile are going to be dark by the toilet base. What the seal does is prevent from a really big mess if the wax gasket fails. The last thing you want is water going into your baseboards and everywhere else. Also, the seal adds a finished look to the toilet.

Because the chalking keeps pee, cleaning chemicals and water from gettting under the toilet, after a while it will smell.

Recommend leaving a small area in the back (1 inch) un-caulked to help determine if there is a leak. Ultimately, wax ring should last 30 years, but you never know!
