How to saw a MONSTER pine log on a small Circle Sawmill!!!
In this video you will see us sawing what we consider to be a very large pine log! I go over the entire process. Its a little lengthy but you can just skip forward to the parts you want to see! Thanks for watching guys! Please take time to like this, comment, and share!

I am here because I like to see the saw milling whichever saw you use. And I really admire your wife for beint helpful and there at your side working also takes a special lady for that. you 2 keep up the good work.
You have the best of two worlds. Enjoy watching the Ole girl make lumber.
The Stop Sign Method Works Good Tyler!
That Detroit is sounding good!
When I was little, my dad custom sawed using the sawmill on our farm. The local farmers would bring their timber and have him cut it down for gates, fence, and hog crates among other things. Other than farming he kept busy with the mill. It was powered by the Farmall M using a flat belt. That was when I was 4-5 years old. I'm 65 year's young now. This video brings back good memories.
So impressive. My family in NC had a setup like y’all’s. So Happy I found y’all. Theses videos bring back so many great memories. Also so many splinters/ and mouths and clothes full of sawdust.Looking back I’m blessed to have worked the mill and the time spent helping others.
Brittani Is A Hard Worker! A Huge Asset!

I had a Foley Belsaw mill that I had to do the same way with the larger logs. Sold it when I was moving out of state (upstate New York to Texas)Wish I had kept it. Enjoy your videos y’all take care.
I enjoy watching the all of the sawmill videos
You probably wont see this but I am fascinated by these saw mills. I have money saved and im thinking of buying one and moving onto a property back east.
You are blessed to have a wife that helps you on the mill. Most women would sy ""NO WAY"" but I see she has interest in helping you out.😁 Stay safe and yall be happy.

I love the sound of that blade. I worked around alot of them. Thank u love these videos
Enjoyed your video, would like to see more. Enjoy the team work
Nice work enjoy the big logs 👍
I like the longer videos
These are the kind of videos I really enjoy and im definitely with you on not liking to cut anything over 24 inches at my mill. I'd rather cut 3 or 4 smaller logs to get the same amount of lumber and have a lot less straining turning the big ones. Thanks for sharing with us.

Totally agree! Thanks for watching!
First time I have seen a circle saw that big, great video. Looks a bit scary also, that saw blade could do some serious damage. Thanks for the very interesting content.
Excellent job . Mill on !
Good job From Centre al My name is Sam Ely Thank You
Hello, YOU have the sawmill mill accessory I need, the Lady in the blue shirt, keeps you moving in the right direction, and stops you from running into yourself mid way between stations, both of you make a great team working the mill.
Just found your channel. Love watching the old equipment run. Looks very efficient. Make sure that hook overhead is well secured in the pulley. That could make for a bad day if it can down unintentionally.
Well one things fer sure, I learnt something new today.
Nice work.
Good stuff. Stay safe.
Nice video and good job
THANKS!
I stopped cutting "stop signs" a long time ago...it takes too much time. Now, if it doesnt fit on the mill, i rip the log in half with a chainsaw right from the start. It saves time and energy in the long run.
THAT was a very nice log. Good job. Looks like your sawdust pile is maxed out.

Will do! I been watching how you do them in your past videos!
What do you do if you get a log that's too big for the band mill
Really, since all of the hard times have came up, people are building like crazy and no one around here operates a mill any more. One guy about a mile up the road from me bought a farm and used about 3 acres for his house. Around his house he put up a fence that is about 3/4 X 6 X 5ft high. Someone made some money because they had to be hauled in here. There was a saw mil much like yours beyond my property years ago.
Rather clever indeed , great sawyer skills ! Thanks for sharing your World with all of us . Watching from Raleigh/ Durham ,NC . USA

6:00 would it be worth buying a mulcher to mulch the spoils rather than burning?
Alittle extra work but a very good yield thanks.
Great video on cutting that big log what’s the last cut on dogs 2 inch or can you go to 1
Hey buddy how are ya?? Brother you and your lovely bride make saw milling look easy!!! I often wonder if sawing the big ones is worth it? I sawed 3 logs last week 28 to 32 inches wide. Being a bandsaw mill each 2 inch thick by 27 inch wide slab had to be removed from the mill before they could be gang cut into 2x6 s. I’m cutting 18 inch logs this week so much easier and fast. It’s nice to get 600 board feet out of one log but ya sure gotta work for it. Keep the sawmill content coming buddy love it all. God bless you and the family!

Was around my grandfathers mill young. He passed before teaching me. I had to get into it a few years later. 100% self taught and bought. Glad you have come and joined along!
Sounds like that Detroit is wound pretty tight
Is that a 48” saw? We manage to get a 19-3/4” board on our 48”, I picked up a couple 52” saw’s recently.

48” I wouldn’t mind having a 56!
Amazing team work. I have sayed some oak boards sixteen inches wide a few years back. It worked very well.

Hmm. Couldn’t on mine. Good to hear some you can.
I sometimes see these people freehand chainsaw milling and I often wonder why sawyers don't split these monsters with a chainsaw and then mill each half "face down" until its a manageable shape and/or size. You practically did it anyway with your first cut..
Sorry you answered at the end 😂
My band saw mill will cut 26 inch logs 22 inch boards. But not as fast a a circle saw
Have you ever seen Riggins Ranch? He’s got a Frick mill and he’s got a 371 on it too. I would recommend checking his channel out.
