Sawing Her first log SOLO on the Corley Circle SAWMILL!!!

In this video you get to see Mrs. Wallace sawing her first log at the total control of the circle sawmill. I have taught her several times what to do and this is her first attempt at taking on the entire task at once! Thank you guys for tuning in and watching us grow! #sawmill #lumber #sawmillbusiness

Hiya, Great video; thank you both. You were right your wife is a skilled lady working hard. Turning those logs is not so easy if you don't have the height. Yes, I've helped do it; but I'm 6'4" tall so at an advantage. For your wife to work the timber as well as she did took brains as well brawn. A great mix and a lovely lady. Stay safe, Steve.

She did a great job.....I worked for a man that had one of these, built a platform on the carriage where his son rode and worked the sizer....they kept us humping off bearing . I had night mares of him falling into the blade! We would cut timber and log for coupla days and saw for 3......good times. Hard work but wasn't any fat people...haha!!! Along with other orders, he had a contract with the rail road making 6x8 and 7x9 cross ties...

Mrs. Wallace, you did a great job cutting that log by yourself. You seemed to know what you were doing as you 'read' the log so you knew how much to pull the log on the carriage to get the correct thickness on the boards. Curious... why did you leave bark on the cant and then sawed it in half?

I've watched quite a few of the new generation of band saw mills popping up on utube using the sex appeal of their partner for click bait, it works I guess for a lot of them but what caught my eye was that big circular saw blade mill you guy's operate takes me back to my childhood there were several small family run mills around, few and far between now days. You guys don't need the sexy click baits Brittany has that southern girl beauty, smart and hard working appeal that real men really want in my opinion. You guys got a good thing going good luck in the future growing your business.

Having no ill will or sense of insulting you, hey.. this seventy three year old sawmill man has utmost respect for her, and truthfully, much easier on the eye as she's plumb better looking than a spotted puppy. Yep, caught ya a keeper... just so you know, I taught my ex now wife to drive or operate, run anything we had. I had shake and shingle mills, lumber mills, lowboy and logging trucks, loaders, skidders... and taught her on all of it. She wouldn't listen to me after a while, knew she knew everything.. and lost three fingers in a sawmill accident because of her disregard for safety. See, she was faster and of course, down right a fine looker... and the men working for me drooled on her. It got to her after a while she could do anything and heck with me as the boring guy harping on her to slow down and go through it slower and thoughtfully. So when I hauled her to the hospital, I was torn up inside for ever teaching her anything about my doing milling or driving. Her impationshense cost me more in breakdowns than she took in in money she earned. Later after she was healling up, she sued me for a divorce, and took everything as the judge sided with her on the fact that I put her in this dangerous position. I figured with what I had left from it all, I just took a thousand dollars out of our seven digit bank account and went to alaska. I never looked back. We have talked some and yes, she is a very rich woman now as she runs that operation yet but doesn't operate or do any of the operation herself. I still love her to this day and thats some thirty four years ago... love her yes, just not in love anymore... I have never married or even considered marriage, she has married seven times an asked me to give her another chance.... just can't do it now as I am a cripple.... only one good arm and can not walk as I got my spine crushed by catching someone who fell from their own roof with me trying to just get them to come down... That person is alive and well, tore his shirt a little when I caught him but since that day, I have never been without pain
