Good job Doc I too like the round heads for sanding joints, and butt you can feel any slight bumps in them. The regular pole I use for the angles. Then on final sand I use sanding sponges with the angles on them for my detail sanding for any little imperfections if its for smoothwall I break out the lights. So many guys do a good job, and dont realize how critical the sanding at the end is the difference is okay or a great job. I know sanding scks but its a vital finishing step.

If my forensics are correct, that appears to be Gator brand cut to fit sanding roll, part no. 6712. Apparently special order at most places mere mortals shop. Available for special order in packs of 3 online at the blue big box. I haven't found a single local source that has it.

No, no, NO! My dear drywall brothers and sisters. I am here to show you the light!. Trimtex blackwidow 540° sanding head is by far superior to the old 360° round heads. They are lighter, more versital, scratch less and last longer. Used with a rankee pole you will not be disappointed. And for the poor folks asking about grit. The blackwidow I prefer 150, for almost all applications. And 180 for an ultra fine finnish.
