Thank you for the tips! You're so transparent and helpful to other KZreadrs... Very refreshing! I've used many of these same shots on my running videos as well... appreciate you sharing!
Great tips! You’re the master of GoPro running footage!
You're awesome, Michael. I just started long distance running and I love the way you're able to run at a very good pace and still record yourself. I hope I would be able to do that some day. Thank you for showing us that it can be done and being an inspiration!
So glad I found this again. I ran with my gopro yesterday and got 30 minutes of the street and no sound. Ill be adjusting my settings now before I try again. 👍
Awesome advice!!! Thank you so much, invaluable information for new running youtube vloggers. Learning on the go!
Best GoPro run and film tutorial on KZread!
Literally got a action cam yesterday and selfie stick and you have been a GREAT example of what I've been hoping to do with it. Thanks
Awesome, I've been contemplating for quite some time filming my trail runs but had zero clue how to not film a complete dumpster fire. Appreciate this one!
Thanks! Doing this for fun, and to keep myself interested, so really appreciate the tips.
i love this i was thinking of using my old hero 5 , to at least document my progress and i can't wait to use this to document where my runnig is and where it gets to
Michael, you inspired me to make a second channel dedicated to running. Thanks man, your videos over the years have really helped me!
Thank you Kofuzi, you handle it effortlessly, your videos are of very good quality.
Nice mini master class! Great video and Just the encouragement needed to give this a shot myself! Thank you.
This was the only video I was looking for. All the information I needed and convinced me to buy an action cam...thanks!
great advice! still useful in 2022
This is the video I watched again & again that’s really inspire me to film my own running video, until today. Just bought My DJI Action 4 yesterday Mike, can’t wait to run & film more, thanks to you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Great tips! I can't wait to try some of these techniques on my next run 😊
Great tips for other GoPro users. I think you mentioned the 120 fps in an earlier video and I played with it back in February for a race and I really liked the results. You are definitely showing how to get the great angles for shots focusing on the shoes.

Yes, you are the one who inspired me to make videos of my runs. I use the DJI Osmo Action.
Thanks for the filming while running advice! ❤
Wicked tutorial. Thank you. I’ve taken copious amounts of notes! I’m really interested to try some shots with the stick extended vs shortened. Thanks again for sharing.
Thanks for your video. I came across it the other day and then went out today to run and film with my GoPro. It's definitely all about the different angles and they take practice! I guess I'll be taking the GoPro with me a lot more to try and get better footage.

Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to make this video. Just so you know, it was your vlog that got me started (about a year ago) with filming with the insta... running with a selfie stick here in Sunny Singapore where humidity is in the high 90's can be really a hassle because of the amount of sweat that will pour onto the equipment... and as you have found out for yourself, how unrobust the OneX can be when it comes to water... for the long runs where i would like to keep my hands free, ( and again thanks to another one of your videos, where you were answering questions on what do you use to help carry your stuff when you're running) my solution is, to get one of those anti-bounce belts by Compressport designed for trial running, these belts have elastic loops that help to hold the poles, I find shoving the selfie stick into the loops very helpful and they are pretty secure too... Just a question on the OneX, what settings do you use to get the slow mo? Keep running, keep safe and stay healthy!

Nice tips. I was thinking about recording my next marathon. But no way am I carrying anything while trying to run a sub-3 marathon, and I'll take to heart your chest mount/head mount thoughts, so... You've cured me of trying that. But maybe I'll shoot other runs with your tips.
proof that editing is key! I struggle so much getting started with iMovie :( I end up using the gopro App from my phone each and every time
Great Tutorial! Thanks!

Thanks, I started to run this year and finished my first ever half- marathon on Dec-5th. Inspired by your videos and got myself a brand new GoPro 9 just week ago as a gift for complete the race with good result. Now I'm gonna start to learn some movements and techniques in your videos, try to make some vlogs myself. thanks again for your work and really helped me to try new things!!!

Great video Kofuzi! Thanks for sharing your info and secrets! I'm kind of a new KZreadr, so learning your techniques will make my future running videos very interesting!!! I will be ordering a GoPro 8 next month...I'm still learning to use my Canon M50 !!! ****My question is...You mentioned that you film the side views upside down...do you then cut and rotate video in your editing software (I use FinalCut Pro X) or does the GoPro "flip it" automatically ???
I own a GoPro 3 Plus White, I have used the head shot angle and chest mounted shots just to get different clips to my video. With that said you inspired me to do what I'm trying to do. Although not good in speaking to the camera. I need to practice on that. Hope to meet you one day, thank you for the tips on how make great video. Last thing, I get weird looks from driver's and I don't know if you get that too. Thanks, Mario.

My first GoPro was a refurbished GoPro hero 3+. I think it was about two generations old at the time
Please make a video about how you edit. Lots of times i have clips on my phone, but I just dont know how to put it together
@kofuzi

I use Final Cut Pro. But any decent non-linear editor would be enough for what I make. Although iOS apps have been very cumbersome and iMovie is a bit limiting

Really appreciate how helpful and encouraging you are towards others who want to start KZread channels. I’ve heard some comments lately from prominent running KZread channels about others who are starting KZread channels and kinda belittling these new channels. How do you go about music for your videos? I want to start a channel but I really don’t care about monetizing my videos so I’m wondering how people use remixes and stuff like that in videos
@kofuzi
4 жыл бұрын
It’s a grey area. Clearly copyright violation. But is anyone going to bother to stop you if you aren’t monetized and are only pulling in a small number of views? A while ago, I subscribed to a music service, and I consider it the best $15 per month that my channel spends.
I don't know how I missed this video, maybe I just wasn't paying attention then. THANK YOU!
Very helpful tips tricks

Genius 😮😮
Thanks for a great video and an insight in your filming process. Just one master question: how do you manage to control all the stuff going on, besides filming and handling with the stick and a gopro also keeping the pace and checking the route/tempo on the watch and paying attention to the cars, other pedestrians, traffic lights and the traffic whatsoever, especially in these days of running in the city streets and urban areas? I assume in the early morning times of your runs the traffic is not that kind of issue, but still... it's a lot to process to give a great running performance and to take a good shots. Any insights on this matter? Thanks!
great video.
Great video. I have been experimenting of recording like this but haven’t got round to editing my footage yet from a while ago. Wanted to ask what about stabilisation on?
Great video, I have been searching high and low for a video like this. One quick question though, when you flip the camera for your shoe footage does the go pro automatically rotate this footage or do you need to do that yourself in post? Hope that makes sense 😂
As a dad I am aware you either have a kids bday or had one yesterday lol paw patrol paw patrol be there on the double 🤣🥲 I was specifically looking for YOUR content not you but the content very specifically and found it very helpful haha
Thank you for this video! How do you record high speed stuff (intervals/tempo, etc.)? Would be tough to focus, wouldn't it?
Getting to the party late, so to speak. Good and still relevant video regardless of done more than a year ago. Bought my first go pro (I do photography and video with a mirrorless), but this is my first "action" camera. And I laughed out loud when your comment about skipping set body mounts. Because of course, that's what I've done, and trying every setting and mode possible. Bottom line, video is horrible. I don't have as much of an issue with the same "boring" view as much as, even with the Hero 10, it's waaaay to much up and down. Tried all stabilization mode, view modes and even different timewarp modes. Just doesn't matter. Hand held stick seems like the only way to make watchable running video. If you disagree or have since found ways to record with an on body mount that works, I'd be curious to know. Thanks
