Ha! You started talking about dumping a full bucket on yourself and reminded me of when I was learning. I was cleaning out a pit of hog manure though. Put a scoop of solid at the back of the spreader, and then fill the rest with liquid. I learned that lesson on a scoop of liquid.

Great Video's Stan! One video I would like to see is recommended use for Skid Steer tires, your recommendations on what is the best for landscaping/ excavation/ grading. how to choose the right tire for your company. The same for tracks on a tracked skid loaders. I was going threw that process my self and felt this would be helpful to everyone in the mastermind group, everyone with a skid Loader or Skid Steer.

interesting skid. i like iso controls because i believe that a configuration that allows for a newbie to get in and figure it out on their own with minutes is more practical than a machine that has them spending hours mind fucking themselves before getting used to weird controls. h configuration is like trying to rub your stomach in circles while patting your head while jumping up and down on one foot.

If it has a hoe attachment it has a lock or if the tractor has a fixed hoe then you have a big cable lock like a couple hands ( fingers cup ) that locks the boom in place so only the front bucket needs to be on the ground .

My first go on a skidsteer many moons ago .three hours in i had three or four large 20 to 40lb stones land on the cab and two made it threw the front opening one hit my left leg . I can honestly say i was lucky it did not break my leg .cant belive they have not modified the buckets or designed and anti tilt back . Disappointing but looks a nice skidsteer

I never ran a Volvo skid steer (their off highway trucks are great). But a ran, Bobcat, Gehl, John Deere, Cat. Personally I like foot controls, but maybe that's because it's the most popular machine where I am. Question: How is that machine with implements like hammers, drills, grapples, etc. How is the fine wheel control. I once had to demo several flights of stairs after the building was gone. Climb up to the top flight, demo the landing, and back your way down and around the flights hammering all the way. No walls or rails. Control is key. (to survival) IUOE Local 15

Great video🤗❗️My 1st time in a skid loader was memberable. The boss, veteran operator told me I could use the skid loader. I was 15. I was pumped, so I head straight to a pile of broken concrete, but before I could get there my boss, & the veteran operator are waving to me to go to the sand pile. I’m 🤔ing what’s with these old goats🤨⁉️I don’t want to mess with the sand. I want to go, & load the tandem dump truck with the broken concrete. Boss tells me to but the sand in a hole that’s 4’ deep, so I get the my 1st load of sand, & I bring it to the hole. I bring the bucket up, so I can see where the tracks are in relation to the edge of the hole, so I can dump this sand. Not watching the bucket I dump about 200 lbs of sand right on top of my head. I’m buried up to the high side of my chest. I look over @ my boss, & the operator. There laughing there asses off. I spent my entire lunch hour cleaning out the cab, my shirt, my shorts, & my boots from all that sand I dumped on myself. To this day I watch when I bring the bucket up, & my boots are always laced up. That was 36 years ago. Bother the boss, & the operator are died now. I learned, so much from those guys. I miss ‘em both greatly😔‼️

HELP! I CAN'T GET OUT!! Stanley, please make a video on how to: Get the bucket down on a machine that quits running... How to get out if your engine quits and you can't get your bucket down. This is what happened... At around 6:30 pm I get a frantic phone call. "HELP, I CAN'T GET OUT! THERE'S NO WAY OUT! HELP ME!" Understand, I don't work for this company but I've become the "go to" person when they need help. This was one of the most unnerving phone calls I've ever received. The boy on the skid steer had gone into a pile of dirt to load his bucket. As he began raising his bucket the machine runs out of diesel. He now can not get the bucket down to open the front hatch to get out. This man winds up in a full blown claustrophobic attack because he doesn't know how to get out, he's stuck and panicking! I explained to him how to get out and I started asking around, I would even stop by job sites where they were running a cabbed machine and ask them if they knew how to get out in case of a roll over, or any other reason you can't open your door. The results were alarming! I've also tried to find a video that covers this but I can not so I think you could do the world a favor. Stanley, please make a video addressing these issues, and just for fun stop by some job sites and ask them if they know the answer. This bit had potential but he quit his job because he couldn't bring himself to get back into the skid steer. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS! People look to you for instructions and inspiration and I for one always watch your videos as a subscriber and you always get a thumbs up from me. -Russ

Not only is that machine expensive, it’s UGLY. Looks like something out of Dr Seuss. I think the best looking Skid steers are Case SV series and Kubota. I think Case is the nicer machine. Never run either one though. All I’ve run was a big JD skid steer. Worked great but I hear they are like New Holland’s. Always breaking non stop. I looked at CAT. Visibility is horrible and I hear parts are insanely expensive just like Volvo. I looked at BobCats. They seemed like good machines but I did not like the dealer at all. I want to get a skid steer set up with a heavy duty bush hog on the front so I will need the shatter proof front glass. They said they could set me up with one but would not sell me a cutter for it unless I rented one first. Okay, that does me no good and I’m not too keen on having to drop an extra $300-$500 a day to please them. Now if they would let me try a rental out for a day free of charge with the extent of purchasing one I could see that.

personally I don't like this video. The best part of my job is operating the equipment. I do almost all of the operating because nobody else knows how!

Starting out using words like "ISO" and "H" is not helpful to the noob! Just intimidating, when it can be much simpler. You're assuming an awful lot. Most women--including me--and many men don't know "hydraulics", or "throttles", etc. Take away the technical words and it's pretty simple.

You really need to pick someone who shows just a little more interest in learning.
