How to run a code blue in cardiac devices patients
There are some special code blue situations that required some experience and extra knowledge like running a code on patients with LVAD, impella, ICD, pacemaker, IABP, or maybe the patient is on dialysis including CRRT, or actively bleeding, or already on an epinephrine drip, or the rhythm wasn't clear. We explain in clear step what to do in these situations, also we discuss the use of bicarb and atropine pushes in cardiac arrest, we end our video discussing code status changes during the code itself and for how long should we run the code for?

Very helpful, thanks for thinking about making a video on such an obvious Need
Very helpful thank you
You should have discussed Cardiac arrest on ECMO!!!! Now that would have been WONDERFUL!!! On VV ECMO, you start CPR, and you perform ACLS as usual!! ON VA ECMO, Go to full flow, and supporrt the circulation that way!!! This info is lacking on KZread. They have good stuff on ECMO, but nobody goes into what to do, say your patient is on Half flow VA ECMO, and then all of the sudden, they go into Ventricular Fibrillation, or Asystole! YOU GO TO FULL FLOW!!!
So helpful, thank-you!
