In a 60 at a baseball showcase your right leg will be in front. Just as if you are on the base paths.

@@lllllllllllllllII home to second is 60 yards. I agree its still a silly test though. At this point they will keep doing it only because they have historical data to compare new crops of talent to. Same goes with the 40 yard dash in football.

Just subscribed. I watched you hill workout with fast feet. You are very motivating. I ran a 6.95 55 meter dash when I was 44 years old at BU in 2005. Feel like I can run 12.9 100 meter at 60 with right training and motivation. Great video!

Great stuff. Sprint ladders are something I’ve never done but will definitely try now. What Plyometrics/weight training exercises would you recommend for linear speed

Thank you! The ladders are fun to do. You can alter your pace and target different aspects of agility, coordination, rhythm, and balance. You’ll definitely benefit from it. As for the plyometrics and weight training exercises for linear speed, I’m going to post workouts in the next few days. Be on the lookout for it.

You are flying. I show my sons your videos too. The thing is the fastest runners in pro baseball don’t steal bases like that or run the 60 that way. Even the guys running 6.15 in Perfect Game National combine videos. They push with the left and the right leg is in the middle of the body. Then they push with the right to help the left come from behind. It’s not one movement where the right leg stays planted until the left crosses over. Billy Hamilton in his tutorial says the same thing you do. And then he does the extra step with the right leg when he actually runs. Ricky , Billy, Trout they all do it. Maybe they could be faster with your technique?
