You could gain some more room by flipping the Mobo. So row 1 faces forward and row 2 faces the back, now connect the splitter to row 1 and the other side to the board in row 2.

I was surprised to discover the 8 pin eps cable is rated for 384 watts, most of my 3 MB PsU combos run at a total of 375watts at the wall. Cables are slightly warm but absolutely no melting. Always make sure the 24 pin splitters are FULLY seated. A loose connection is a hot connection. The most i ever had on a single PSU WAS 5X 5900X cpus on a 1300w evga gold.... dont do that, just go for 2-3 for fire safety guys. The 24 pin splitters will start to get hot with 4 or more MB connected. Don't burn your family to death. If you run into issues and have to reset cmos, be aware, you will need to isolate each MB from the splitter set up, because the other MB battery seems to make the one youre working on think its still got a battery. When setting up multiple rigs, do all your tuning before installing on the splitter set up or you may experience problems...

  • @djchotus1

Yeah. Works great. And if you're "lucky". Some psus have multiple cpu cables so no need to split that. No stress either way.. But the pcie splitters can work. You just gotta make sure they are 8 cables to 8. And don't mix up the runs. Cpu is 4 pos on top 4 neg on others. Mine work fine. Guess it's down to how cheap the splitters are.

Be careful to not mix the CPU and PCIE cable connectors. Some people have managed to mix them so badly that they broke their hardware because of it. You can find quite good drawn schematics of those connectors from internet. Also be careful with PSU modular cables and connectors to not mix them between different brands.

Question(s) - Both mobo's are powered up, but you only have one GPU connected to one mobo. Do both mobo's run through that one GPU? And, from what you showed, there are two, separate rigs displayed on your HiveOS. How do they both get connected on HiveOS? I'm thinking in terms of the GPU rig whereas multiple GPU's are connected to ONE mobo, then run through the ethernet connection for the miner to detect all GPU's. I guess I'm unclear as to how two mobo's can be detected from only one GPU. (Please excuse my ignorance as my computer knowledge level is still in the infancy stage!)

Had a few going for over a year a few pc cases actually have these built right into then for the 2 in one streaming pcs best to check with the psu you have usually each plug is its own rail.

2 computers from 1 PSU is the stupidest thing to do! Go ahead if you want to burn down everything!!!! Burn your PSU and burn your 2 computers!!! Normally people doing opposite - 2 power supplies and one motherboard (one computer)

Lots of dual streaming pcs are made exactly like this but built in the case everything is within the power parameters of the cables.

Normally people don't mine on CPUs, and definitelly don't build CPU mining farms. CPU mining is beyond normalness so give it up. As to subject - nothing wrong with having 2PSU on 1MB or 1PSU on 2MB. Just know what you do, calculate watts, and get high quality parts.
