Спорт

Perplexing, purposeful, and Powerful. These words all describe an elephant sized penguin.
This video describes how, when, and what body defense should look like! This is not a full complete guide and does not cover every little thing about body defense but I gave it an honest try :)

Noob question: Is this still legal with the 2022 ruleset? How close to the net can you be and is the no-hit zone an issue?

Question: do you inflate your balls? It's seems like you have much more bounce then the balls we got with our SpikeBall set. Could also be that your net is pulled much tighter then ours. I think it would be helpful if you can make a video explaining the whole set up, like how tight to make the net and if it's good or bad to inflate the balls. Thanks. Love the game and your channel. Cool intro.

the ball should be 85% inflated (should be pretty squishy so that you can have more control of the ball) and as far as the net goes, if you drop the ball from shoulder height, the ball should bounce from the net to about your hip height. hope that helps!!

Serious question, how do you avoid getting hit in the balls while bodying? Is it just that you are anticipating their angle well enough?

  • @HOWTOROUNDNET

If you are low enough it shouldn't be a problem... the hitter can only hit so low but if you are lower than that you should be fine

I have question for everyone here. I am always confused between (a) bodying (b) run back and hit the ball (a) is risky. A lot of times it doesn't come off but if the other person puts in a drop shot (instead of power) I can easily pick that up (b) is a lot safer however, the drop shot is almosy always unpickable. I know in your video you said that (a) is the last option (when you are late on the ball) but I see people using this regularly as their first option. Love to hear from other people what they think!

Question: When doing the bod of god if successful and the ball bounces off you straight back on to the net would that be your point or theirs since it was only one hit?

Why does it seem like at the higher level teams seem to attempt bodies much more? Especially seemingly with low success rates.

Patrick Fenlon sets are better, hits are better. No single position is ideal at the top level is the set is good. So there is a lot of effort trying to make that desperation move into space to cut off angles
