Been awhile since I rooted a phone, thanks for the quick video! Also for people new to rooting, the first boot after the wipe can take up to 5 min so don't panic if you're stuck at the samsung screen.

I've sat down on at least 3 occasions trying to work this (must have sat for over an hour) out with other guides and this is the first time I've sorted it ...within less than 10 minutes. Crazy. Worked like a charm and I'm really happy.

It worked, thank you. I didn´t know about all the trouble I would get into though, should have done some research first, I thought rooting just gave me more access ... I didn´t think it would cause so much problems with pay apps.

Them apps aint safe either bro Always use internet banking on a laptop with paid security software and hope you do not get hacked cause everything thats connected to internet is hackable

very clear instructions. I even used Samsung Switch which made the transformation even smoother. I'm facing one problem though. I downloaded magisk 18.1 as you said, and downloaded the Magisk Manager separately as expected but on the Manager I can only see the second tick. There is a red question mark next to "Magisk is not installed" and also, I cant seem to find the hide option on the side menu. Thanks again.

@@kureijisama7896 he already said @ 1:10 that US models can't be rooted. Any model that ends with "U" is a US model. I'm returning mine for a refund and buying a "FD" model.

It worked, despite the hard times I had to download from the Highonandroid link files... I had some "loops": when I clicked "download" a new same page appeared... I downloaded from diff sources lol Thank you!

u need to wipe everything. if u have a google account, then usually everything is alr backed on a cloud

But nevertheless, it didnt so I can say for sure that this method is safe and works well if you follow all instructions well. Thank you once again!

@@fredtlc3 by now it should be unlocked. But, normally you just disable automatic time change and change the date and time to something couple months ago

US Models. Do not attempt to Root the Snapdragon US Models cuz they have Locked Bootloaders. If you want to use the Exynos Model, sell your Snapdragon US Model & buy your International Exynos cuz they have Unlocked Bootloaders.

If you've been rooting gor the last 5-6 years its like that with every root. And why you need to dellete it its cause the ropt you encrypt files in every part of the os and that can cause problems

You can flash magisk root to hide the root, so all the Samsung apps would work I dunno bout the fingerprint and iris scanner tho. You sure they don't work when rooted?

I know that I can hide the root with magisk, this works e.g with bank app e google pay, but it doesn't work with Samsung Apps. The Samsung smartphones have the "Knox Warranty Void" bit set to 0, after the root the "Knox Warranty Void" value is no more 0 and you can't restore it to original value 0, it's irreversible, it's e-fuse, you can view this value in the "download mode" screen: THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY and you loose knox functionality and some samsung secure app like Samsung Health Samsung Pass, Samsung Pay and Samsung Secure Folder check the "Knox Warranty Void" value and they won't work anymore! The Samsung Knox warranty bit is a security feature that detects if unofficial software has been installed on your phone. This helps prevent malicious attempts from accessing your data. The Knox Warranty Bit detects if a non-Knox kernel has been loaded on the device.

I have the oem unlock enabled but I can not install the twrp on my g955f I followed the steps of the video and odin gives me a bug and on the phone it appears only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed

No u can do on Qualcomm but must have unlocked bootloader, Chinese dual sim has unlocked bootloader.

Now my phone doesnt load the apps EDIT: Iv fixed my issue by uninstalling Magisk manager and titanium backup, then i installed the second latest Magisk managar. One box isnt checked and I left it that way. I downloaded Titanium again and I had root access

Where did you get the files from?

After updating to Magisk 19.1 , my s8 plus turns off by itself once in a while and battery is zero. I have to plug in the charger to bring it back on. Any solution? Is the updated Magisk causing this ? Battery drains very fast
