Man you weren’t lying about being adamant with them . I called 4 Toyota dealerships and they all said no it couldn’t be done including mine . Went up for service today and the service writer said he never heard of that either but he would check .. just picked it up and works awesome .$67 but still worth it I think . For a factory feature that Vw has been doing for over 30+ years but I love it . Thanks

Yes, it is dooable. The dealerships seem to not know about the vehicles that they sell. I just got my Toyota Highlander 2020 programmed to do the same. I read about it in the owner's manual and had to point it out to the dealership.

Gregory Dale Mostella what year is your truck. It’s not the key that does this feature, it’s the ECU of the truck / car. Mostly all Toyota’s since 1992 or so... comes with this option. It just needs to be activated from the dealer or you need to have the right scanner for it. Again, what’s the truck in question? Thanks

Salesman not knowing the inventory on the lot they are working, not sure about options like sunroofs, vehicle abilities like towing, horsepower, crash ratings. I had a Toyota salesman try and tell me how safe 4Runners are... I had to show him the crash ratings on the window sticker... he was lost! I love the 4Runner TRD Pro and will most likely buy one in the next year, but they are hardly a top safety pick! Perhaps one of the more ignorant was a salesman trying to tell me the current Nissan Pathfinder is compatible with the current 4Runner being made. The flip side was a Toyota salesman degrading my wifes Nissan Rogue when he couldn't even tell me what the ground clearance was on a Highlander! Any good salesman knows you never degrade a potential customers vehicle... it's something you just shouldn't do. I've owned 3 Nissans, I have nothing negative to say about them. Yet, it seems so many salesman seem to want to tell me how bad the CVT transmissions are... funny, I've never had an issue with one. Even after putting 198,000 miles on one that was working perfectly till it was totaled in an accident.

Well we bought our sequoia at auto brokers of Colorado and they showed us petty much everything about car. Even the tailgate window rolls down! I give them a 5 star.

Trace Gillespie after 2010 no it cannot be done. It is a security issue (as per Toyota) but you can always install a relay and do it that way. But it’s not worth it. The cost for that relay and programming will be 150$ + So in other words, no it cannot be done. (Easily) for free only roof and 4 side windows can be done by the dealer or dedicated programming software.

Wonder if it’s available on the Tundra

Well, I tried it and it only worked with the lock, and it only rolled down the driver, passenger, and sun roof windows.

Not at all, you don’t need to, it’s how far your remote works. So if you’re able to unlock / lock doors, then windows will open, check the description of the video too please. Thanks

I'm not surprised about the lack of knowledge the technicians have now days. I took my Toyota for service at my local Toyota dealership and, since I have wheel locks in my tires, I have the lock key inside the glove box and I told them where it was. 30 minutes later they came to ask me that the technician wasn't able to locate the key because he didn't know what that was so I had to go inside the shop to show the guy what a glove box is. Not going back to this dealership anyone

300zxdriver if it doesn't lower them already then your dealer should do it . It takes 3-5 min ... 98% the dealer won't charge. But I've heard people get cheated 100-200$ for this programming

My sequoia 02 had it without even activating anything from factory! Now a days, BMW’s are charging monthly for the heated seats 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I had the same experience and I had to educated the master tech at my Toyota dealer, he’s changing tires now, I’m not joking… he’s an idiot … he shouldn’t have had been in that position to start with, tell them, load your TechStream labtop and do it for me! Or, just get the Carista OBDII and do it yourself, search my videos and check the Carista video, read the description of my video.

FBI Detector purpose of rolling down the windows rolling down is, especially in the summer, your truck is parked under the sun and too hot, before you go into it, roll down the windows and let that heat go out. As for the purpose of the video is to educate people that this is doable , the dealer can do it, with the tech stream software or you can purchase the Carista online, as I mentioned in the description and do it free yourself. Hope this helps.

Jose Arteaga thanks, many benefits, when it’s too hot outside, release the hot air... when the sun is hitting your truck all day and your AC is on, while you remote start your truck , first 2-3 min of that hot / AC air is toxic... lower windows to release that air and aerate ...and for some, it’s just an option to have :)

Well, not called anything, just show them this video :) also, they will need to use the tech stream software with their laptop, but they may charge, so go to another dealer if they charge , or as I said, buy the Carista from amazon. You can do the same. For only 20$

You did not include the actual programming instructions. Your title is misleading and false. I watched the whole video waiting for instructions on How to program the windows down function. All you suggested was tell the dealer to do it.

M N G I’m sorry if you felt mislead, but I think I e mentioned on the description too, how to do it, buy Carista if you want to do it yourself, or tell the dealer to do it, if you do your research or read some other comments, MANY dealers, DO NOT KNOW this option exists, they have a laptop and software called tech stream and they program it with that, some charge, some don’t, this video is intended for you to show the dealer this option exists and is doable.
