Carista Adapter on a Toyota TRD 4Runner

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A short and quick tutorial on using the Carista adapter with the Carista app to change some factory settings. I also show some of the features available with the Carista adapter and a supported 3rd party app called "Torque" which is free in the play store to display digital gauges.

Thank you! I'm learning a lot in this venture. Can't wait to see what things look like after some time compared to these first few videos. Similar to my photography when I look at what I do now compared to 10-15 years ago.

Carista thanks for your support! Does the product allow slight change (1or 2 size up in tire size)? -Speedometer corrections-

Super! I wear my seatbelt. But there are times I'm I don't want to listen to the seatbelt nag if I'm driving in a parking lot or slow speeds at work. Thanks for the video. Very useful.

Thanks for making this video. I didn't realize something like this would be so inexpensive. Do you know if there was an option for shutting off the noise/beeps when locking/unlocking the doors? That would be worth it alone. 🙂

There sure is. In the app there is the option to turn the arm/disarm beep on/off. You can also adjust the volume of the beep if you want. caristaapp.com/vehicles/toyota/4runner/5th-gen

Did you change the eco mode on the display? I'd love to see my MPG digital without the anxiety of trying to keep my 4Runner in Eco mode

Will it allow Auto Down/Up of the rear hatch window from outside on a 2022, either with the remote or the exterior hatch Up/Down buttons? Our 1999 had a button on the remote that is no longer on the 5the Gen 4Runners :-(.

I am unsure about what it can do on a 2022. I know on my 2018 I just use the key in the key hole to roll the back window up when needed.

Doesn’t have to do with this video, but how do you like the lfd crossbars? I’m thinking of getting the same setup.

I've been happy with them. The quality in workmanship is obvious with them and the folks at LFD have been very responsive to questions. They have served me well and for anyone who just wants sturdy crossbars on their factory setup I think they are the way to go for sure. That all being said, mine will be coming off soon simply because I'm upgrading to a full length rack.

Twisted Jake thanks man! yeh eventually I’ll probably upgrade to a full rack but for now these will fit the bill for throwing up a cargo box snowboard etc etc.. assuming I can use Yakima Thule accessories with them.
