The Kansho means “Calling Bell” and is also known as Gyojisho (event bell), and the bell is struck to signal the beginning of service in the following way.
1. Strike the bell seven times at appropriate intervals
2. Crescendo and Decrescendo
3. Strike the bell five times
4. Crescendo and Decrescendo
5. Strike the bell three times (The second of three strokes is struck small)
