Great video. I’m still new to downriggers, so I have a few questions. You say you’re trolling just a couple of feet from the bottom. How much line do you let out from the pop gear to your downrigger release? How fast do you troll the minnow? When I look at my fish finder, I can see my downrigger balls. I’m guessing that because of the weight of the pop gear, you’re probably trolling the pop gear just five or ten feet from the downrigger ball . . . Otherwise (if the pop gear is too far back) you wouldn’t be able to see the pop gear and know how far you are from the bottom, right? Thanks for the help.
