just because the bike starts moving doesn't mean you just let the clutch out, You have to continue to let it out until it all the way out or it will stall if you just drop the clutch.

"dont rev ur bike so high" - his bike could already be warm, you guys don't really think he did this video in one take, do you? " ur suck at shifting" - it's a beginner video "u only need clutch to shift down, not up" - use the clutch to shift period, unless you're speed shifting or power shifting which is bad on your bike. it really isn't recommended unless you're racing

when ever u slow down or need to come to a stop pull the clutch while braking also. You can start the bike in any gear just be sure to have the clutch pulled in while starting it. Downshifting. To down shift , pull the clutch in and kick down into whatever gear. You can down shift more than 1 gear at once. For example, if u r goin in 4th and need to slow down to take a corner or sumthin, just pull in clutch and kick down into what ever gear fits the speed that u want to take the corner

You wanna use the choke as little as possible, you dont need it all the time. It's just to get it started easier. The gas is just a switch or lever that turns the gas to feed the engine on or off. Always turn it off when youre not riding it.

@TfAbEr190 on most dirtbikes, when you sit down there's a cap in front you that you unscrew. whatever bike you have, read the manual (or talk to dirtbike people) to find out the best gas you want to put in there (and if you need oil mixed in it or not).

Video could of been better, there was a lot of key things you failed to mention. Difference between two and four stroke, letting the bike warm up before you rip on the throttle, more explaining about the clutch lever exactly what it is and how it works, and since your riding one the 2stroke powerband! By the looks of it you look like a novice yourself!

  • @joshwalters5875

Depends, if it wont start when the choke is "down" or off. Then yes pull it up and start it. Let it run for 20 seconds then shut the choke off. If your bike won't run unless the choke is "up" or on Even after warm up then most likely your carb is dirty but to answer your question. Yes turn the choke on before start then shut it off and ride.

It goes 1, N, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. When you're in 1st going into Neutral, you'll wanna push up only a little, like half of what you would do usually. If you're in 1st going into 2nd, you'll wanna push up regularly (all the way).

  • @bksvaluemenu

since i ran out of room i will continue in a separate comment. When ur in 1st u slowly let the clutch out while giving it a little gas.once u feel it moving foward, dont suddenly let out the clutch, it will stall or turn off. You should be about 10ft down road before the clutch should be all the way out. you should shift when u hear the engine reving high but not all the way. To shift just let off the gas COMPLETLY, pull in the clutch, and kick the shifter UP into 2nd and same for all gears

  • @THISISJIMTUBE
    @THISISJIMTUBE11 жыл бұрын

If you slowly release the clutch, extremely slow release, u will feel the engine start to shake/want to move/that is where u can let it roll a bit n now u will know when to give it has at that specific clutch release point

Like between first and second or third and fourth etc. Though my dirtbike is a 1973 dt3 250cc, so the things might have changed since then. P.S. I think the Dt3 250 is the most beautiful bike ever made and yamaha is the best maker.

@Airbornebull yes u must or it will stall and you should downshift because if your in 5th gear and try to go from a dead stop you will stall research what a clutch does and you will understand why

no onee seems to know what theyre talkin about on here. 1.you dont have to clutch shifting up. 2.you dont have to use the clutch shifting down if your goin slow enough. 3.you dont even need to let off the gas when shiftin upp, just like a car find the sweet spot in the rpms and ill go in then. 4.dont start off on a 2 stroke if your a beginner or any kind of race bikee.

@xXAcrobatixX no if your already moving u just pull the clutch in and let go fast if you want to it wont matter u wont stall even if you forget to pull the clutch in while you shift it will sometimes still shift its just better for the bike and will go faster if you use the clutch

@baconator127 dont use the clutch at all when shifting from 1st to 2nd etc, just let off the gas and shift. watch a realy good rider, they only use the clutch from a start and in corners to get acceleration.

@Airbornebull If your planning on taking off again after you stop just pull in the clutch and shift to 1st then brake and stop. But if your not you can just hit the kill switch and cost to a stop.Hope this helps

And this is why you till have worn out gears in the near future. The bike has a clutch for a reason. You can speed shift which is faster and easier on the gears.

to all you who r confused i will tell you clearly what to do. Hopefully this clears everything up. =) 1st gear is all the way down neutrel is half a click up from 1st. If you r not sure if you r in neutrel, u can push the bike. If its easy to push you r in nuetral. If its difficult to push, u r in 1st or any other gear except neutral. once u r in neutrel, u can start the bike without the clutch pulled in. Once its started, u squeeze the clutch and kick DOWN into 1st. Check other comment of min

And an easy way to tell if the bike is in neutral, - try to push the bike back and forward about a foot, if you can't push it- it means the bike is still in gear
