He is one of the Legendary Lords that die before end times for good. Both he and Isabella die when his magic ring gets stolen so him not reviving is 'shrug'. Probably just a mistake on CA's part tho.

@Robbie Cayenne Not sure there’s a single moddable game where that’s true. Mods objectively make a game better. Not every mod - some are absolute trash - but the potential to change, improve and expand the game free of charge is one of the single greatest aspects of PC gaming.

the fix i dream of being added to base game is just...when you get a general you can respec them. receiving someone like Toddy who has 9 skillpoints spent on maxing his 2 horses and junk skills is painful, or a wizard who has wasted stuff on spells you dont use. even if it was something like you dismiss them for 3 turns and it costs u 1k gold to do it for retraining. just a way to fix builds. the mod for that is near the top of the popular list on steam for that reason

and for clan mors: arachnos must be alive and rebellion in karak orrud

Slightly related: If you confederate mannfred, or he gets wiped out before he recruits ghorst(turn 30), you can still get ghorst by reviving sylvania, and the revived sylvania will recruit ghorst after they take a settlement and spend a turn in the settlement.

You can revive clan moors, i had it happen in a VC campaign in the region just south of sylvania for some reason. I dont know why there of all places

I'm willing to bet it has something to do with corruption but thats just a guess. There's usually a skaven faction, Clan Ferrick I think, on that region so chances are high there was skaven corruption around.

Vortex Campaign does have different settings then Mortal Empire. Snikch can be revived at El-Kalabad on Vortex as well.

Really good and cool video, clear and conscience. I guess a lot of people still don't know/forget that you need 70% untainted, and well having a list of all the provinces piled together with time stamps is really nice and saves a lot of time. And if new factions are added people might comment the location to keep the list up to date. Don't know whether it will gain mass views at the start as it isn't the most fun to watch to the end for casual viewers. But it being so handy I would see it as one of the videos that will keep getting views over the months as people return to check or find out. Although it might not have the appeal to attract and contain new people as I imagine top 5's have. So really hoping this video will do good as they are so handy for players. But yeah videos like these are quite a lot of work though, so hopefully it's also worth your time.

i mean they can be nice to get, they're pretty much always better than the generics, and some have really useful faction traits, such as malekiths slave decrease reduction. Plus if playing as skaven or dark elves, the legendary lords don't have the loyalty mechanic so you never have to worry about them revolting. Still, I get that it's not exactly a priority, just a useful thing.

Great Video. A Little advice on how to cause a revolt as high elves (on lower dificulty especially): since you can't raid playing as highelves i found it very usefull to get heros (handmaiden or nobles) with the actual negative trait that gives -2 public order to the local province and stack them in the provine you want to revolt.

Or you can send some heroes to the regions filled with chaos corruption so they could gain trait "insane" which lowers public order by 5.

In one of my Reikland campaign, tried to revive Boris via return settlement to elector many turns after Middenland got destroyed, only the faction got back, but not him. As result, some random spawned general became the new faction leader of revived Middenland.

Can confirm Markus Wulfhart. Recently tried to bring him back, with great effort I might add, in my Awakening campaign to give Harkon his trait. Tried both settlements, no luck.

It's interesting that the only skaven that can be revived are the ones from their racial capitals - Skavenblight and Hell Pit. It almost feels like a deliberate decision by CA and there's something about it that fits the skaven. Like they're so elusive and sneaky that they won't reveal themselves as a mere rebellion. Or that they live underground and are not native to the surface of the province - except for Skavenblight and Hell Pit, where no one else lives.

Lol I think it's more likely CA being rather lazy or not checking/realising whether it's the case or not. And when Legendary Lords start at minor cities or have overlap with other races/factions they just forget about it or don't bother. But you could be right I just don't think it's likely. Considering everything else about total war Warhammer and the release of new content for it.

@ 8:07 her defeat trait is great if you're playing as teclis, gelt or any spell caster or Lord who has a spell caster(extra winds of magic 15, and I think she has - enemy winds as well I think, and then either magic resistance or - miscast % or something.

I had no idea that this was even a thing! In my time playing I saw once that a faction came back, since they are an unplayable faction, I just thought this was a random chance thing, not that you could actually cause it!

I wish Legendotw covered some alternate start positions on Eye of the Vortex for lords like Alith Anar, HQ. Khalida, Malus, Rakarth, Imrik, Cylostra, Grom the Paunch, Snickers and Throt. You set out in clear terms what to do for Mortal Empires and I thank you for your service.
