2:25 will help you..I called the mechanic and he said to practice what I learned from 2:25 in my garage with the garage door closed and when it starts warming up inside the cabin then the R mode will in fact work. write that down its golden. Im still trying to figure out the -M+D.. it revs, so revving is not the problem when I googled it the first time, Amazon sold me 8 sparkplugs, 3 ignition control valves and 2 radiators, when I got themwith same day delivery, the spark plugs were the same size as my lawn mower but I only have 1 lawnmower so I sent 7 back and I apparently, I only needed one radiator so I sent one of those back too. Google was right about the valves but they were like $600 so I sold my moms car at the car auction to pay it off.and when the prn-m+d stick continued to fail I looked at my google machine again and it sent me here to figure out why my car goes vrooooom but doesn't go anywhere do I press the 'E'mergency clutch when I'm trying to shift or nah? Its says check to check my awd but my windows are fine so the mechanic said to roll them down as long as the garaged door is closed and it will start warming up, tbh I trust him more then some stranger on a an outdated video

A good thing to add: wait until it’s been idle or driving for a minute if you live somewhere particularly cold. Pushing a older car close to redline on a cold engine can hurt its longevity, or even cause a latent problem to suddenly present itself due to the stress.

Yup this is something I learned at like eight years old I live in New England so from about November to February is when it’s starting to be really cold so even before we use the car, you got a let it warm up for a bit. Don’t raw dog your engine.

I think neutral is better than park because accelerating in park can damage the differentials

you should put the parking brake on when stopping because leaving it just in park isnt a break, its just holding the gearbox which is bad for your gearbox and can cause significant damage over time

this is actually true for old automatic cars but in modern cars (after the 80s w some exceptions), this is not an issue. although it does put pressure on your parking pawl which CAN break so whenever you’re on a slope, brake to stop still in drive, e-brake- put the car in park, proceed. when you get back in, put the car in drive or reverse(with your foot on the brake obv), hold the brake, release the e-brake than go

Truthfully even in park your car should have the parking brake on even on a flat surface. I use my parking brake faithfully in order that my transmission is never holding the car still but instead the parking brake is always holding the car still.

didnt see the automatic part but was surprised to see that its an automatic (i drive an automatic) and its also really simple: IN PARK- press and hold gas IN NETURAL-pull the emergency brake and press and hold gas yes its that simple

Hi, i don't drive a car and i just need this for a school project. If perhaps you step on the brake and accelerator at the same time, then you suddenly released the brake, will the car bolt off? Like, will it bolt off at the highest speed possible and then will it slow down on its own or a decrease on the speed after a while? pls this question sound so dumb and should be a basic knowledge, but i just really need to know 😅

Ye if you put it on drive then you hold down the accelerator and brake at the same time then release the break at a certain RPM then it will result in your bolting off. If you launch at 1k rpm then you won’t go very fast

engage the clutch fully then use throttle, also I believe the car wont have a rev limiter because it is a manual so you can make the engine run faster if i'm correct

Once I accidentally left my car in neutral and revved in the garage after getting an oil change.. everyone looked at me like "lol noob"

I reved a c7 z06 and all I did was press the brake then pressed gas and boy was it loud

My dad revved our 95 Odyssey and not doing any of these steps and eventually we got some problems (the reverse gear not responding)

What if you want to do a rev in a tunnel and you're going slow? You can't pick up speed by pressing gas, but it's the perfect rev spot
