How to Reuse Your Paint Pen

Get full use out of your paint pen. The tip can be turned and a little water can be added. I used Painters in this tutorial but it also works with Posca Pens. You can not apply this technique to the extra fine tips. These tips are plastic and can not be flipped.

The area water is being placed can be removed. Also thinner works best over water.

If you are adding anything to your paint markers, water is not what to add. Replace the water with a drop or two of paint thinner, works much better. Also the check valve is probably not the issue. The issue is more than likely the tip of the marker is clogged up with dried paint

If you put regular plain ole saline solution into mascara that's dried out, it revives it. They say it's best to do that instead of just adding a few drops of water because the water eventually dissipates over time from opening and closing the lid. So I'm just kinda curious if you might have tried that instead of water for your paint pens? I dont know if it does more harm than good or not on paints. But hey I also wanted to say thank you for this vid. I had no idea that there was a way to open it from underneath the label. I appreciate you taking your time to show us that trick. It helps alot!!!!

You don't HAVE to flip the nib for this... she was just saying if your nib gets messed up, you can just flip it over, and it will be like you have a new nib

What if you use one lil dab of paint thinner. Wouldn't that really get the flow going??

Unless that was a Water Based paint pen, that would be the last thing you would add. And if it's an oil based paint pen, you need to be wearing gloves and not doing what this silly person did.

Yes that area she added the water actually lifts off and you'll end up with a larger entry to add paint thinner and more paint. I wouldn't suggest adding water.
