Loticians should explain that retwists do not make the hair loc. They simply make it neat and create a uniform look. Lack of combing and the natural matting process makes it loc.

I don’t enjoy my locs for an aesthetic because all of ours lay and flourish so differently which makes everyone’s journey so beautiful. We just need water fr fr and here and there a nice oil. It was driving me crazy so I did them over again and they're back! Budding is natural! 'Controlling the bud' is bad! She's combing out part of the loc and retwisting it. There is nothing I repeat NOTHING you can do about Budding. I'm over 2 years in and I still have buds. They don't look like it over Time because it evens out. Different parts of the loc bud at different Times they eventually all whine up the same size. But after about 1 month after a retwist I get new buds. Doing this hurts the locking process and prolongs it as well. Those buds are just gonna keep coming back. If he keeps letting her do this to his head they never gone loc!

Don't do that. Hell the Shea butter is to much. U don't want to use to much product it causes build up in the locs. Light gel to retwist. Or better yet oil and water then clip and under the dryer it until completely dry it Will hold! A protective style will make the retwist last longer. 3 years loc'ed this August. You'll thank me later. I'll say you're welcome now 🙂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤

Does anyone agree with this? I don’t like budding at all. I think it looks very nice when it’s thin.

It's suppose to bud. That is a sign that the starter locs are starting to turn into locs. It is part of the process
