This is the ONLY video that actually shows you how to put the string in the emptied spool AND it’s a minute long. Lowe’s or Home Depot (whatever big box hardware store that used to carry these) do not have the pre stringed spools anymore.

Awesome! I needed to know which direction to wind the line. I didn't know if the arrows on the spool showed direction of spin or direction to wind. It is the direction to wind! Mine has two lines, but they both spin the same way, so they have to wind the same way. Thank you very much for the video! I hate guessing at things, especially when I am in a hurry. I replaced the line with a stronger line. So now it doesn't break off at all, but it continues to feed line with every stop and go. But I just pull the cap off, wind the spool backwards, put the cap back on, and all is good. "Fortunately" the line guard broke off 1/2 hour earlier, so the cutting blade went with it. So I may never need to replace the line again.

Thank you for making this video you saved me about an hour of wasting my time and all the frustration that goes with it. Haha 👍

THANK YOU!!! I knew there had to be a better way than paying $10 for two tiny spools! We save the last two spools, spent $10 on a big package of line and it took all of two minutes to restring, already tested it out on the weed whip, works great!

Best video hands down.

Great video thank you. I have a big investment in Worx 56v tools and am very disappointed they have discontinued the 56v line. The 20v stuff doesn’t cut it for my one acre property.

I am pissed at WORX. They discontinued the 32V battery and my trimmer and leaf blower are both 32. I called them and they said SORRY. They recommend I buy 20V tool "upgrade". Ha ha. They failed to mention aftermarket... at least I would have had respect for them to mention this (not throw your good tools away). My tools are only 4 years old and they discontinued supporting the battery? Bull. I have been rewinding my trimmer for almost as long as I had it. What a bargain. My model uses 0.065 line. Thanks for video. I always review it before stringing another spool. I guess I have saved $100 in overpriced WORX pre-wound spools.

I finally had to replace my string from a smaller weed wacker, but the string keeps coming unraveled. I bought the twisted type of string, not sure if that makes a difference but it is .080 like it needs

@0:33 i was wondering what's the function of that little hole there? Theres 4 of them. You put it there then remove it

Does this work in pretty much all worx models? I have three WG180 model. My garden boy moved and now I have to do this myself. I have no clue what to do.

My Worx takes 0.065 line but I have a bunch of 0.080 line. Do you think I can use it? I can wind the spool, but I would have to modify (file out) the cleat so that the larger line will fit in it. Is that a bad idea?

They have commercial grade .065 line which should be better thanthe worx economy grade line but i guess if you're careful you could drill the hole bigger that's what im going to try so i won't getvrid of empty spools
