Is that a piece of tape measure spring steal, using as a shim to correct the air cap spacing, and stop the rotor from dragging?

What's the air cap spacing? Never got to really take apart a hermetic compressor before. Definitely not worth burning out his eyes to weld it up tho.

If I lived in India I would design & sell a cheap affordable stool that’s about 10 inches off the ground for all these workers to sit on.

This is pakistan 😂 in india we don't bother with restoring old junk compressors. It would be broken apart and metals extracted then melted and turned to new compressor.

I can't imagine that's good on your knees or back in that position. My back and knees are screaming at me just watching him. But they are some true Craftsman's for sure. The kind of people United States used to have countless numbers of that have disappeared to almost none today

@@jeffreywolf5235 I’m always impressed how they use their feet to hold things in place as they work. You’d never see that done here in America

@@PJL7095 yeah OSHA you would have a big issue with somebody in the United States doing that with their feet, barefoot. Running grinders and hammers, chisels and everything else.

no guard on the angle grinder and not even eye protection.. 🤦♂🤷♀

He re centered the commutator with 2 pieces of broken (spring steel) tape measure and didn't test anything? Wow... The body welding is "normally" done by a robot, under controlled condition(s) to prevent escape of freon... Totally illegal in America to do this... Hence, not done under EPA rules, in another country... 😳 wow...
