One of the best cases of upselling I've ever seen.
I'm old school with my JDM and that means show quality under bonnet fitment. Seeing someone else remove every nut and bolt and bracket to refurbish them makes me feel like Im not completely bonkers there are others who like it just the same. Baz great work mate
One of the best videos on the channel it made me want to buy this gsr even more than I already do
STEP 1 : Spend money STEP 2 : Repeat step 1
The attention to detail is. Next Level 😎
a year later still drooling over this
Love how its show car clean, but still fully street functional. So sick.
Love the attention to detail and utilising all factory mounting. Car looks amazing
This really satisfies me
My GOD this thing is MINT!

The new bolts make so much difference 👍
Use your new good goin out wiring skills to bang in a set of Sony X-Plod 6x9's in the rear parcel shelf, nice and high , and she's all set 😅😅. Resto turned out tremendous mate thanks for the updates as always
I just picked up a Galant VR4 that Barry worked his magic on the engine bay of. In person, it's absolutely stunning. These videos don't do it justice, believe me
This is the video I needed badly...I will be calling these guys asap
Something something something Barra! (The responsibility for Barra comments on Fullboost videos shouldn't fall to me. We need team players here.)
Engine bay looks mint 👌🏼 I desperately need a custom air box for my car, my DIY job isnt cutting it
Left ya car outside the Next Level. Nek minut.
Them hand pointers are so funny!
outstanding work and build, good to see love and attention to detail compared to every car build being 1000hp and hacked apart.
Oh hell yes Geordie, full K.Rudd spec, F'n mint. 👌 I know personally how hard refurbishing old JDM parts is but it's rewarding work when you do it right, so full credit to Baz for going that extra mile for you bro. 👍
That is a epic job guys
After watching this vid I want another evo 2 rs.
Baz ohh now it all makes perfect sense. Lives and breathes it more way then one. Good refresher and improvements on the GSR very tidy upgrade 😎👍

excellent work gentlemen
Very nice job
Great video as I do like early Mitsubishi performance offerings, not so much the newer variants! The engine bay came up a treat thanks to Next Level! The voice over was a bit monotone to be frankly honest, just constructive criticism...
nice Wira dude
Nice well done
Amazing work as always from next level! Wouldn't take any of my cars anywhere else!
F me thats amazing work, its dumb how a few freshened up parts can make the biggest difference And the multi use catch can / intake box is a super smart use of space. If it had a 3D printed plastic lid, it would almost look factory - super well thought out
SUBSCRIBED WITH NOTIFICATIONS!!!
Very very tidy 👌🏻

Time and money well spent. This looks way better than the factory ever made it

Let's do it
I’d love to know more about the labels used on the looms. I’ve struggled a bit with using that mesh loom sheathing. Freys like a mofo. Found it slips out of the heat shrink but I take it that it’s me, not the products. Good fun anyway.
@BroomysGarage
2 жыл бұрын
Try and find some 3:1 ratio shrink if you are having trouble getting a good enough grip on them. Most the off the shelf stuff is 2:1. With the labels, a really cost effective way of doing it is to print out what you need on an excel spreadsheet, cut them out, and then just use clear heat shrink over the top. Alternatively you could use a dymo label printer and clear heat shrink, or go full baller and use a label printer that prints straight on to heat shrink. Those machines are cheap enough, however the heat shrink reels are close to $100 each.

You need high temp tolerant Braided sleeve.. the stuff used for home AV systems doesn't cut it. Look for properly rated engine bay or quality Braided sleeve . Heatshink in clear needs to be as small as possible. The larger diameter the worse it'll look when shrunk. As broomy called out... just order lots of sizes and hopefully you'll have a nicely fitting one for minimal shinking (clearer, almost invisible which shrunk).
Hopefully you never get rid if this ride, so cool
Looking to do this same setup, do you have any specs/links on the battery and tray?
Now the underside of that bonnet needs a good detailing!
nice work how should be done well done shame its missing four cylinders
Great build I really love your videos' My only question is, why are the radiator and oil cooler are painted? I believe that it affects the cooling efficiency because of the added layer of paint .. I think that's why factory radiators are not painted even in race cars 🤷♂️
@fullboost
Жыл бұрын
Thanks. That radiator came polished. I didn't think that would suit the car. The car has never had a cooling issues and been tracked a few times.
the vented catch cans are important if u run high horse power 4g63 not on stock engines like this... coz if pressure isnt vented above 600hp you can run in to head lifting problems.
@sexyfacenation
2 жыл бұрын
The pressure is always vented mate, it either goes to atmosphere, or back into the air box. Makes zero difference to crank pressure.
Where did you get the intercooler pipes? Seems they are not made these days and need to be custom fabricated.
@bazeng

They came with the Lancer originally i believe from the previous owner. We are guessing it was an original mandrel bent alloy plazmaman kit.
Looks mean where about they located I’m from Victoria

Engineering should be quite easy as the engine comes in the same chassis (Evo). You'll probably need Evo brakes etc. Mine came with an engineers certificate, engine had been registered to the vehicle so it's all legit.

I would not give false advice on saying raceworks stuff is better than industrial spec (forklift) fittings... the cheap auto fittings are jic threaded fittings btw..... I would like to see raceworks or any of these cheap "automotive" fittings handle 2000psi
@nextleveltm6091
2 жыл бұрын
Firstly thanks for your comment and allowing us to clear up this 'false advice'. The JIC (forklift spec) hose in question, as you can see was Parker 836 Push-Lok series with a pressure rating of only 300-400psi. The Raceworks hose we opted for in this application is 140 series (with an operating pressure of 1000psi. And burst pressure of 5000psi)
