One of the reasons I love your channel is your respect for older pieces. This was wrecked and it was clearly mass produced but you still restored the parts of the veneer that were in good shape instead of just slapping paint all over the whole thing. Love your color choices. If these had been available in my area I would have bought them on the spot--great job.

What a fantastic transformation. You took a piece of furniture that was in horrid condition and turned it into 2 beautiful nightstands!

You are so clever! Love it. I wish I could do that.
These are exquisite, Katey! You’ve retained their beautiful 1930s design and made them modern at the same time. I love that dark chocolate color with the wood tone. I think these are in my Top 5 of Salvaged by K Scott rehabilitations.🌸

Two words - Blown Away!
I love waterfall furniture and natural wood finishes so I was hoping you were going to restore it, not paint it. Given the condition of the piece it I think your choice was the right one. I love that you kept the front of the furniture the beautiful wood look and the chocolate brown for the more damaged sides and back was a great choice. Beautifully done!

I love these!! What a great change.
I usually don't like taking vanities apart but this was an exception! This one was on it's way to the bin and I can't believe the price. $50 was high in my neighborhood. The finished nightstands were amazing! I imagine they will bring in a good price.
These look absolutely stunning 😍 Also, I've been watching your videos for over two years now, and I'm pretty sure I've commented more than once saying I've wanted to try my hand at refinishing furniture. Well, I finally did! Today I finished my second piece, a three-door, mcm-style cabinet someone had painted a hideous shade of grey. It took FOREVER but I stripped, scraped, and sanded it back to bare wood. It's very far from perfect (burnt through the veneer twice, oops) but it's DONE and I'm so happy 😊So thanks Katie, for the inspiration and the education! I couldn't have done it without your videos.
I love when you do antiques! It gives them such a new life and they live on! Love these!

Glad you enjoy it!
I've watched a LOT of furniture makeovers, but this, THIS, is the best ever! I would love to have these in my bedroom. Wow! Just WOW!
You know what I constantly come away with from my travels and the diy- ers ,especially yourself? The total niceness and decency of the Canadian. And on top of it you did a fabulous redo of this piece. Thank you for being you. And being good and good at what you do.
Wow!!! This is one of my favorites you’ve done! Fabulous work, and I love the color choices.
They are beautiful. I had a vanity like this, I worked on it off and on for 2 years. I finally just gave up. Wish I saw this video back then.
This is the best tutorial I have seen for repurposing an Art Deco vanity bedside tables. You did an excellent job of demonstrating it. They are beautiful. I have two Art Deco vanities that I bought two years and was going to restore, but I had some bad health problems, but I think I can do them now. You have really inspired me. Thank you so much for doing this video and demonstrating step by step that was so easy to follow and understand.
Those handles are to die for ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Oh. My. Gosh! What a transformation! They are gorgeous! Well done! One of the most satisfying parts was watching that tarnish just wipe away and reveal the pretty metallic underneath ☺️
They look wonderful. You did a superb job of restoring them, while respecting their age and original design.
These are absolutely stunning, you are a master Katie! I showed my husband he was beyond impressed, thank you for sharing your gift and your wealth of knowledge!
I love the nightstands. The chocolate brown is gorgeous.
God bless you! You donated back to the Habitat for Humanity Restore! Altho I’m old & crotchety, you & others inspire me to refinish the items I’ve bought over the years from Habitat and have in my home and repurpose some long top kitchen cabinets into a window bench on fancy metal legs. Love me those Habitat folks!
This turned out stunning. With the color and wood, it really makes the drawers the star. Gorgeous color choice!!!!❤❤
Wow! When I was a kid in the '70s my parents had this same exact vanity table + the whole bedroom set that went with it. They were hand-me-downs from grandma, who probably bought the set in the 1930s. The tall headboard for the bed was gorgeous. I wish I had that stuff today but mom redecorated and threw it all out.
Fabulous transformation Katie. It always surprises me how many of these vanity dressers show up in the Restores. Your project turned out beautifully.
Thank you for the best tutorial I have watched to repurpose an Art Deco vanity for bedside tables. I plan to repurpose two vanities for my grandson to have for bedside tables soon, and I will definitely refer to this video. Many thanks for your time in doing this video.
These two would make a really nice dresser, just sitting next to each other. I want to see the mirror re-done to match!
I love that when you find a problem, you don't pretend you don't see it. You fix it no matter how much effort it takes. Love to watch your videos.
These are stunning! I was excited to see what you would do with this piece after you thrifted it, and you did not disappoint! I love seeing this kind of "trash to treasure" makeover. I also love paint/wood combos. You have an impeccable sense of style and I love your work!
Beautiful transformation! They will not last long on the ReStore floor. The height, finish and shape of these tables will add to several different decors. Great job.
One of the nicest furniture restomods I’ve seen. Very classy.
These are completely STUNNING!! Next time, before wrapping for the night, put the wet towel on top of the veneer and let it sit over night...comes off like BUTTER!!
You are amazing. You dedicate the time to making what was old new and fresh again. Thanks for sharing.

Katie; I love how these turned out!♥ I am an avid lover of Vanities and wasn't sure about this Repurposing at first. The love that you showed for these was amazing, anyone that knows furniture would appreciate that although you painted part of them, your treatment of the wood fronts and trim is in honor of the beauty of the wood and craftmanship that went into creating them. I've an old Waterfall vanity that You've inspired me to treat the same way. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to finally tackle that old piece! Please keep sharing your creations with us and stay safe & well!♥
Saturdays with Katie are my favvvv❤
I would love to surprise my 25yr old son and completely redecorate his bed room and those would fit right in with what I have stuck in my head. The night stands give off the busy gentleman, but not too busy to have good taste in furniture lol
Katie.... This project is Gorgeous!!❤️❤️❤️
My favorite, favorite, favorite piece thus far. Just lovely!
Stunning to see all the hard work you put into each piece. Absolutely stunning work.
Well you know what? I really liked what you did with that. My parents had a dresser exactly like this and it brought back such memories. You really gave it a new life.
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how you brought out the masculine vibe! So hard to believe this project started with a shabby old vanity. I do love an oil finish, and combined with the paint, I can totally see these night stands in a Ralph Lauren Home advert, with old maps hanging above them and a chesterfield-style headboard between them. You knocked it out of the park this time.
Wow, I can't believe how beautiful those are now!! I love reconstructing/repurposing furniture, and you are great at it! I can't wait to see what you do with the mirror!
Oh❣️ oh❣️ this is just stunning❣️. My dream flip. Beautiful work, as always. ❤️-Jill
A stunning restoration. These should fit in with so many design schemes, be it traditional or modern.
Oh my goodness. Those are stunning. I would have never thought you could do this. Your amazing. Thanks for another great video
Hi 👋🏾 Katie! I’ve been a subscriber to your channel for several months now and generally just ‘like’ your videos and don’t comment. And I DO LOVE YOUR WORK! However this time I HAD to comment! THIS piece, WOW, what a transformation! I’m always amazed at how people can see a pretty grungy beat up piece of furniture and turn it into a gem….in this case 2 gems!!!!😂 kuddos to you Katie! This is simply amazing! 👏🏾👏🏾
Simply gorgeous 😍 anyone would be proud to have them in their home. Another excellent flip Katie.
This is one of the nicest transformations that. Have seen. Great work and nice taste. So inspiring and skilful!
Those are just stunning! Beautiful job!❤️
Wow! You are so talented and patient. Beautiful transformation.
These night stands turned out beautiful! I was hesitant when I saw the brown paint but it all came together at the end and I love them 😊
Phenomenal! I would love those in my bedroom!
I'm impressed. You kept the beautiful style of the art deco piece. It's now suitable for a modern home. Good job.
I absolutely love those nightstands!
A fantastic job. 👏 I would have never guessed what the original piece looked like from these 2 finished works of art. Thank you for sharing your talent. A job 👏 well done. 😊
Love love love the chocolate brown. They are just perfect!
Great color combo. I use FSO all the time and it has become a regular go to when I want that velvety stained look. Love this!

I’ve never seen how vanities are taken apart before. Turned out amazing!
Wow, Katie, they are beautiful! What a difference, you worked some magic on one piece of furniture that became two. Thanks for sharing.
These are gorgeous! These are so elegant now.
I'm obsessed with these! I think these may be my new favourites out of all of the work (that I've seen) you do. You really nailed this one. Ah-mazing work! Just so, so beautiful 😍
This is a great idea! I’ve seen a number of these vanities and this breathes new life into them. Plus it’s a slim profile nightstand. I love that as I usually end up in an apartment with a smaller room profile lol.

You never disappoint me! I would love to see you turn an old buffet or dresser into an island for the kitchen
I have or owned this dresser and it is in perfect shape but before I could refinish it as I had it since I was 16, my teenage granddaughter and her dad just showed up and took it home!!! I am sure there is damage now but she is away at college and plans on taking it with her when she graduates. I was hoping you were going to refinish so I could see my dream come true. This is sad for me to see it pieced out. It was so cool in my young years to sit at and make magic!!!! tx for you videos maybe another time.
Absolutely stunning transformation 🤎🤎
These turned out to be beautiful - suspect better than originally looked. You do such exacting work and make sure you keep the original feeling in mind. Love all your projects! Thanks for sharing your projects with us. Paula
Gorgeous!!!! Your choice of paint and stain colors were spot on!

This is my favorite transformation I've seen you do! I would snatch those up in a heartbeat
Totally amazing. I have been shopping for a side table at local furniture stores and based on what I have seen, those stunning tables would be worth $500 each (although there is nothing that sturdy and beautiful in any of the box stores). Lucky people who shop at the habitat for humanity re-store near you. 👏👍
Miss Scott, Norm Abrams would be delighted to see and inspect your craftsmanship-absolutely stunning!👍😁😇 Doug
😆"Full, chocolaty goodness..." They look great, I love the old curves, and the new look is special.

Wow, I am am always impressed with the ‘before’ and ‘after’. Not sure I would have known to do what you did with the piece but you have such a good eye for what it could be! Beautiful
I love watching your transformations - this has turned out superbly! Thanks for sharing.
Those are so gorgeous! Loved seeing these Fusion products at work and your thought process staining the wood. Really one of a kind. Someone at ReStore is going to get super lucky!

Lovely from A to Z! Atempo chic! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🖤🤎🖤🤎
Wow...fantastic restoration...was in total agreement when you decided to do the last walnut stain on the wood. Whoever gets these nightstands will have gotten 2 beautiful pieces and probably at a great price. Love all your videos, they are utterly satisfying. ❤️
These turned out beautifully! Thanks for using the chocolate brown paint , it’s a nice change from the black furniture trend.
Absolutely stunning!
Katie, you are an artist. What a save! I love how they turned out and to then turn and donate it back to the ReStore is just lovely.
That is absolutely beautiful!! My husband inherited his grandfather's dresser of the same design. It's pretty beaten up but now I know what to do with it. Thank you!!! ❤❤❤
I see these remade into night stands fairly often but I think the colors you used are by far my favorite so far. Well do e Katie!❤
Hi Katie, beautiful finish. So pleased you kept the round mirror. Im sure it will look fantastic on the wall🙏

Dear K ... Your beauty shots @ the end are great ! Man , that was a lot of work & I'm sure half of the grunt work wasn't shown ... Lucky person who buys this set ... Slide a piece of paper into the drawer w/ the KZread link up & they'll be astounded @their famous purchase !
Beautiful! I can't wait to see the mirror refinish! 🖤
Wow, what an incredible transformation. It was definitely a lot of work, but I love this dark and moody look. You've given me courage to try it on something.
I am speechless!!! Gorgeous!
I've redone several similar dressers. I usually leave them as dressers. I painted one of them silver to capture the Hollywood regency era and sold it in one day.
I would have painstakingly refinished this. But that's because I just love these old pieces.
Just gorgeous! Those handles look copper!
Oh wow, I would buy those in a heartbeat! Beautiful job!!!
Love these! I used to hate this style but you've turned me into a "waterfall furniture" fan. Awesome job!
This was a heavy duty project, and it came out, absolutely brilliantly nation point-it really is stunning.
Wow! What an incredible transformation! You’re a freakin’ Genius!!🌷❤️🇨🇦
The thought that kept returning to my mind was 'if this piece could talk, the stories it would tell'. A beautiful transformation, Katie. Well Done!
Initially questioned whether your vision would justify the $50. Certainly labor-intensive but worth the effort. The result is classic, understated. The pieces suggest 'old library' to me. The color and appearance reminiscent of vintage, leather luggage.
Love everything about these transformed nightstands! You do beautiful work and it shows!
Hello Katie. Gurl….these turned out to be beautiful nightstands. Way to go!!👍🌺🥰🤗
Love what you have created here. Beautiful and elegant!
Loved this so much. Beautiful restoration. My mother had a similar vanity when I was a little girl, and I loved to try on her jewelry in front of that big mirror.
I love these. They're so warm and inviting!
These were a lot of work! Final result's amazing, Bravo Katie.
WOW Katie!! They are just stunning. Looks like that mirror is a find too.
Absolutely gorgeous! Love how they turned out.
These turned out Stunning!!!!
