excellent video, im still thankful for the lipgloss stopper video you made! could you maybe do a video on best methods for depotting pans out of original packaging (do you like to use a flat iron, a candle, or what)?

violetsnowdrop405 sure! I have some MAC eyeshadow pots I need to depot so I can toss them into my large palette, so maybe I'll film it as I do it. I just use a tinfoil/flat iron method personally :)

Joannie VH oh! I'm sorry, usually I just add my nails & lips down there cuz that's the most common question that I get. I used one of the new Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow eyeshadows. I think I used Kitten Karma 😊

I just repressed a bronzer too... I haven't been pressing it down very hard though, will definitely try that next time

Thanks, this vid was the most on point - b/c I have a small amount of powder left. Most of the vids seem to cover full broken powders.

Great video. I had a disaster repressing my Lorac Unzipped palette. The eyeshadows were super powdery and messy. Plus eyeshadow got everywhere. Now, I know how to repress my eyeshadows thanks to your video.

Hend Abou-Gabal oh no! I once dropped my Lorac Pro 2 eyeshadow palette & had to repress half the palette!! It was MESSY so I completely understand! I hope you were able to salvage it!!

I tried it and my rubbing alcohol didn’t have a dropper it had a big hole so it poured and I poured way too much but I still try to let it dry it’s drying, right now so we’ll see

So helpful; thanks for this. FYI, in my area at least it's not tough to find 91% Alcohol at various dollar stores, or Walmart.

I have another comment: When I tried repressing something I did it pretty much just like you said (but I wasn't "panning" a project it was just an eyeshadow that shattered). But when I went to lift up the paper towel, the product stuck to the paper towel! It made an even bigger mess than I originally had. What do you think I did wrong? Too much alcohol? Too little? I've only repressed a few things because of this problem. I would repress way more if I could get results like you.

violetsnowdrop405 I've only had that happen once, the consistency of your product needs to be just right for this to work. Try to get it the consistency of being in between peanut butter & Greek yogurt. Press a little bit firmer with the first pressing, while not pushing TOO hard & it should work....

Cristian Juarez I've done it in the past, & said I would film a video on it, but I completely forgot about that one! But yes, the freezing method definitely helps if it's a soft lipstick!! I finished my Chanel lipstick recently, I'll see if I can depot another lipstick into that bullet soon for ya!💕
