New Engine Water Pump from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AEWP00207
The water pump keeps coolant flowing through your engine. Common failures of the water pump will leave the coolant leaking, or stagnant. Both will lead to overheating if left untreated. Install a new engineered to fit water pump from TRQ for total peace of mind. This video shows you how to install a TRQ water pump in your 2011-17 Dodge Grand Caravan.

Great information. I just replaced the water pump in my 2017 Journey. In my vehicle, the top mounts were much easier to remove. I did have an issue where just removing the top mount didn’t give me enough clearance to remove and install the pump, I additionally had to loosen the lower center mount bolts, (located center of vehicle, just behind the front bumper), to get enough clearance to swap out the pump. To those asking about the upper mounts and the idler pulley, the upper mount bolts run through the pump housing, the idler pulley does too. Might as well replace them while you’re at it. Removing the thermostat makes life dealing with the upper mount and the serpentine belt much easier, replace it too.

Just purchased a 2014 Town&Country 2 weeks ago and yesterday it overheated. When it cooled I checked the radiator and was empty or very low. Was dreading the water pump fearing it was a timing belt driven internal unit and was ready to junk the van. Watching this video took all that dread off and am ready to tackle a normal repair job thank goodness! Pink antifreeze? Same as what I use in my Cayenne? All aluminum engine? Asking because I have several bottles of that left over still.

sir, your video is great, could we reach the upper bolts of the water pump and remove them without removing the engine mount? Also, I noticed you remove the jack down the oil pan during your work with removing the old water pump and putting the new one. I think we should keep the jack hold the engine till the last minute, is that correct?

I did not realize that is what they are used for. I thought thier purpose was to center the bolt on the hole so the pump lines up correctly. I bought a new pump from Napa made by Gates and the holes for the bolts were slightly larger in diameter than the factory pump. This caused those spacers to fit very loosely. Any thoughts ?

grand total? 550 freaking dollars!!! the mechanics are losing money as they SHOULD for the way they price "based on how hard the job is" as apposed to the fact that they are there to WORK... ALL the day, REGARDLESS of what is before them. So if there are 5 "easy" jobs, or 1 hard one, the time youre at work is the SAME. these mechanics need to be based on hour rates. BUT EVEN THEN they are gonna rip you off by charging long... THIS IS WHY KZread SHOULD BE GIVEN AN AWARD for their assistance in helping us dodge these freaking rip off people. I was charged hundreds for replacing the thermostat housing! I didnt know my wife had them do that! PLEASE EXPLAIN AWAY, where 100 bucks was needed to be charged for changing a thermostat housing!?
