Just an FYI...you don't have to remove the filter/separator. Just unscrew the to hose clamps on each hose on the pump, use an 8mm with an extension socket, remove the two bolts, unplug the connector and the pump will come right out.

Satish Tummala I know I just like to have more space, even when I change my oil filter I remove the battery. Just to get that extra space.

Thank You for the video! Quick question though, We did swap out the in line fuel filter and the water fuel separator. But we still keep getting a low power loss indicator light come on. Any idea what else it could be?

Air restriction or fuel. But not sure what else it could be

Does the filter screw on pump or what. I couldn’t tell I’m just replacing filter.

My 299d2 gave me a fuel leak code 1239-1 severe. The pump was working. Sorta, it made noise but barely pumped. Got a replacement. I'll let you know how it goes.

Nope. It was a clogged fuel line. Blew the line back into the tank, got the job done but it's clogged again. Gotta clean the tank.

So if the filters aren’t full does this mean the pump is bad? I’m having an issue of mine quitting today and seems to be fuel related as I can get it to fire back up with starting fluid but it will die after 15 minutes. Check the filters and they are both half full. The small one is pretty dirty looking though

Yes sir that’s your problem change the pump i think it comes with the small filter

Replaced my third one on my 287d but now I’m not getting any power at the harness. Any ideas?

Might be having a short or bad ground somewhere

The fuse in the cab was good before I replaced the pump but when I disconnected the harness it must have blown the fuse. Once I figured that out we’re good to go now!

You can get that pump for 60% less $ getting it from Facet fuel

I don’t remember, I think it was not filling the filter with diesel all the way up
