thanks Max. the WAHL user guide never explained how to disassemble and most importantly how to REASSEMBLE the blades. you did a good job and it was a good thing you kept the original screws or you might of been SCREWED. P.S. the replacement kit might of been more expensive than buying a new clipper. excellent DIY video . thank you.

It came apart very easily, reassembled, not so much. Your tutorial saved me from buying a new clipper!

Thnx this saved my butt. I lied to my barber told him I knew how to put the clippers back together for a free haircut lol.

Thanks for the tutorial. It helped me tremendously. I never would have replaced the blade without your help.

Thank you very much. Very clear images and instructions. My clippers are the Wahl Color Coded ones (bought during the pandemic because in Australia the hairdressers were closed) and when I put it back together it seemed that I didn't have to adjust them at all. One thing that I didn't realise is that the lever at the side is an adjuster for the blade closeness. I've had issues shaving the left side above my ear and usually go too close (I'm right handed), so changing the closeness might solve that issue.

You just saved me $40 thinking my clippers went bad but the whole time the spring just got loose. Thanks so much man

I agree! I couldn't find the plastic piece. It was still stuck to my clippers! Now if I can only find a replacement blade for my set. Went to the Wahl site and they have not been available for months. Thank you for the video!! Bless up! ^i^

Right he actually also started from the beginning when the blades weren't even uncrowded yet other people post KZread videos with the clippers already taken apart and that's just useless so I think I'm just subscribe to this channel since this is my first time seeing this video and channel

How can we 0 gap the clippers if I'm not able to? I think I'm going to get a bigger and different blade probably use the same screws like you just did and I'm going to need the cutting blade still blade and the gray metal part that had the holes 🕳 for the screws to go into to be able to 0 gap? Is that possible with the clippers that i have?

I just push the blades as close together as possible and tighten screws

I use Wahl Pros for my dog and really needed new blades and no other tutorials explained the spring and I was so afraid to break it.

At 3:40 you can see the 2 spring arms . Align to the 2 slots on the plastic piece attached to the blade . Are your clippers the same model ? I don’t recall any more springs except the 2 arms

Do you, or anyone else know how to get the little plastic piece that’s inside the smaller blade? That part is worn out on mine. I need blades, but I also need that plastic piece as well. Also, anyone know what that piece is called? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@@maxmusclem Thank you for looking! I’ve looked everywhere myself. I don’t understand why they seem to sell pretty much everything else except for that!? I feel like it should come with the blade set in my opinion. Mine has become so worn the clippers sound like a chainsaw now!

It took me forever to get them back together….but no that side lever won’t work. What am I doing wrong…. Bout to throw in the towel and buy new ones. They are less than 2 years old!

Try putting some oil between the blades . Maybe they are so dry they won’t slide . Also maybe the screws are too tight just back the screws out a tiny bit

@@maxmusclem initially they wouldn’t even turn on, so took them apart and put back together, then they turn on but the lever on the side won’t work. I’ll try your previous suggestion to oil between before re-assembly. I know it’s me, terrible at these things. Tryin to save money by grooming my own dog, which I also learned how to do on youtube. Already had to buy a special screwdriver just to get the blade off; mine did not have a regular Philips….some fancy star thing

I’m throwing in the towel….i have tried and tried to get them back together and cannot. Another $60 to replace….ugh!!

Ugh my wahl clippers are just slighly different and I cant find them anywhere else on YT and none of the ways you guys do this work on my clippers. Extremelyfkn frustrating
