Super helpful, and matched up to my 2009 Tacoma step by step exactly! I would add this advice however - when removing flanged nuts on mirror mount, secure/hold them carefully when removing or reinstalling. Despite my best efforts, one got away and slipped into an area I couldn’t fish out!

Great video and instructions. I love your phrases/terminology… (bonk it in, bottom out the nuts, chisel up the paint). I also appreciate the close ups on the details disconnecting and connecting the wiring stuff.

Great video, with really good angles so I could see all of the important points to pay attention to. With tool setup, mirror replacement, and clean up, it probably took me about 35 - 45 min. And the video probably saved me about $200+ from having the dealership do it for me! Note: I ordered a trim tool kit from Amazon to assist me as well. Thanks much!

good idea to pull the white clips out and place back on the triangle piece before re-installing. they can push into the door.... found out from watching a video to replace my 2019 mirror.

ebay has 05 -11 and 12-15 mirrors listed for the 2nd gen... what changed between 11 and 12? I have an 06 and would like to install mirrors with turn signals. Is the difference in the 05-11 and 12-15 turn signal wires... where the later ones have those and the first period ones don't have the turn signal wires?

I have a 2011 Tacoma, do you know if the stock wiring harness has blinker wires that a new side mirror with blinkers on it will work?

This video and others like it are a big help, but there is one critical thing missing - you must replace the door panel retainer clips with new ones. These types of plastic clips are not designed to be re-used once you pull off the panel. Otherwise, the panel won't go back on completely. Order some new ones before you start this project.

Is the door panel elbow pad a separate replaceable part? My 2013 is cracked but I really don’t want to buy a complete door panel assembly.
