I've watched several vids for replacing this part and yours is by far the best! Not only well filmed and well spoken but thoroughly detailed. The only one I saw showing the extra steps of completely removing the handle, plastic and speaker. Then on the installation you showed bending the 2 tabs and spec'd the 80 inch lbs on the regulator bolts. No one else I saw did that. So thank you very much for your efforts! Now where do I order a Diesel Performance Window Regulator??.

Thank you, not as hard as I thought. Getting the regulator out and in wasn't hard. Not including taking panel off and putting panel back on maybe took 10 minutes and that is checking that it worked.

Thank you! Just what I needed to see. I'd gotten the door panel off but couldn't figure out how I would get the regulator out because other videos didn't cover what my 2000 Tahoe looked like. Gotta remove the speaker! Very helpful. Thanks again.

Wait is the regualr is not working and its up how do i bring it down?

Is this the same regulator for the driver passenger rear side as well?

yeah if im replacing a part its because it does not work so showing the repair by moving the bracket with the switch is pointless but great demonstration vid for how to repair a part if it still works.

I’m curious if anyone else has issues with the roll up speed on their new one. I just replaced this on my 2005 Tahoe and the motor rolls up noticeably slower than any of the OEM windows. Does anyone else have this issue? I also noticed that the new motor doesn’t have a hole for the wire holding tab like the original.

150 sounds fair , but you probably want to pay 30 bucks and expect life time warranty

Can you tell me the correct part number for that regulator? I seem to be seeing several for that year.

Not the same as a 03 suburban… if you know how to do that then please post a video having issues with mine… mine has 2 brackets with regulator connected on one of the brackets. Removed it a year ago now i forgot how to put back in 😅

What if your window is stuck in the down position. Old motor will not move

What’s the machine u used for taking the bolts out

My regulator/assembly will not move at all. It is stuck 3/4 of the way up. Is it safe to assume the motor is bad?

Yes, but you'll have to use a wrench to loosen the nuts holding the glass, since you can't access the nuts with a ratchet & socket. It might be a little bit of a contortionist job but you gotta do what you gotta do.... OR you can drill a couple holes to access the nuts

@@GuitarP0RN Before I went with this option I tapped on the regulator with a screwdriver handle while holding down the switch. It jolted it enough to get the window to come down so I could get to the window nuts. Also, the video shows the tech using the switch with it still in the door panel. But it's much easier to pry it out of the panel and then connect it.

Bought the part, did it myself (perfectly I might add) and my window still won't move. What else could be the problem?

You can get one at salvage yard for under 10 bucks

Slightly different than a 2000 GMC Yukon XL, but close enough.

Before I put it all back together, I would test it with the window installed first...

Mine did the same the locking mechanism gave out so you may try buying one of those

+William Capps Thanks for watching! You can sometimes open up the motor and manually crank it down. If the window is truly stuck then you can always cut the cable to free up the window. You will need the new replacement part on hand to replace it!

Why are you replacing a regulator that is obviously in working order? You are running the window up and down to suit your needs for bolt removal. If the regulator is not working, you can't do that. Some of these how-to videos are really, really stupid.

Could be like my window situation? Keeps dropping half way down and then won't roll all the way back up. I need to open up the door for access to repair or replace and now I know how. I sure appreciate his efforts!
