HOW TO FIX PAINT SCRATCH ON CAR BUMPER like a PRO | Easy
If your car bumper has scratch or scratches and you want to see how to fix scratches on front or rear bumper on your car we will explain that in this video. There is not reason to repaint a whole bumper just to fix a paint scratch. Paint scratch on a bumper happens very often and it is one of the most common type of paint scratch on a car. We demonstrated how we used touch up paint to fix the paint scratch on the bumper of this Chevrolet and as you can see the results are very good. After we fixed the paint scratch on the bumper it was almost not visible at all. You have to really look close to see that there was a paint scratch on the bumper. Hopefully the video will be helpful and it will teach you how to fix paint scratch on car bumper.

Use a little piece of paint stick wrapped with a strip of 2000 grit. Then 3000 grit. The block of wood should be about 3/4" x1 inch. Cut a strip 1 inch wide and 6" long. Use a water bottle with a squirter to keep the sand paper wet. A little dish soap( 5or 6 drops shaken up) in the water makes it slide better. If you had to put several coats of color then clear. I would recommend 1500 grit to start with. This whole process works great on hood chips too.

Hello, i have done similar repairs like this, but i like how you showed entire process in real time... one of the best demo and explanations on fixing scratches... i have a question... When applying clear coat i would think it would be good to not only apply to where you did touch up paint but slightly over lap on to original paint... then when you wet sand you would have a smooth transition and no hard edge... i think you may have done this, but you did not mention it when you applied the 2-3 coats of clear.... Lastly is that a 2k clear on that dupli color en kit??? i ask because i never use that pen...i just use regular base and clear from large cans ...thanks again for the great demo...

This is AMAZING! The work, instruction and production value are top notch! I can't wait to try to replicate this on my recently professionally painted bumper cover that got some nasty scratches just days after being fixed. What level of cut/grit is the pad on the power buffer? I'd like to use the least aggressive pad that will still get the job done this nicely. Thanks so much for posting this!

Good video, would you go to a car detailer or paint shop to have this kind of damage repainted with touch-up paint? Paint shops seem to quote for the whole bumper to match, and quite expensive. My car has two 4" line scratches from the hinge of a closing garage door. I’d try myself but my hands are too shaky at my age. Thanks, enjoyed the video👍🏽

The whole bumper, you lucky if that's where it stops, they wanted to do both fenders to make sure they match the hood for me. I would just paint the hood black.

Do you know any products on market that can fix such one or any tutorials how to make those disappear …? Thank you 🙏

Thank you! Great tutorial, you are really saving ppl some money. If you took that car to a collision center I guarantee they would quote you for an entire new bumper. And the people making fun of these " guys" ....pretty sad. I admit at first he said it a lot. But you can tell he is from a different background. Laugh to yourselves not try and publicly roast the guy on his channel.

Yup, this does work, I've been doing this for years. When you add alittle bit of dish washing liquid to the water when using the wet dry sand paper, it moves smoother on the paint.

More often than not, by the time you have to use a paint repair kit, the cars paint has changed in the elements so the touch up paint is a different shade and never really blends.

450 quid for similar damage? They are probably quoting for a complete bumper respray with removal and refitting. I have my own company doing mobile bodywork/paint. That amount of damage would be £100 to repair and paint to a Bodyshop standard and would be completed in about 2 hours.
