As I watch this, my mech is doing this job on my granddaughter's 00 Focus. I don't have the facilities and equipment to do this job myself, but that's why I have Bob (my mech)! I'm going to have my granddaughter watch this video, though, so she has an understanding of what he's doing, and she'll understand why it costs so much! Thanks for a detailed and thorough video!

I'm pretty sure you can use a rear subframe from a 2013 focus as well. I've been looking into it for my 03 focus. As long as the body mount locations are the same it should work since it's practically the same rear suspension with just a few updates. You can't use any of the suspension components due to changes in how they separately mount the but the subframe itself should be useable

*For anyone watching this:* Don't let your car get to this point, have : Krown Rust Control's T40, Rustcheck, Fluid Film , Wool Wax, Corrosion Free Rust Cure Formula 3000 or equivalent sprayed on your car yearly , it avoids this happening. Do not used rubberized undercoating/ asphalt based undercoating, it is a nightmare to deal with and in the end flakes off and accelerates rust. I live in the Rust Belt, i've seen the difference between spraying and not spraying your cars , and the difference is night and day.

I have to change the rear sub frame unit on my 2007 Ford edge sel awd suv which the alignment adjusting bolts do not have any metal on frame to catch onto when attempting to set rear wheel alignment. Are there any videos on how I am to proceed to pull entire rear sub frame down to replace with unit that has better metal for those alignment adjustment bolts to grab when setting alignment on rear wheels. I took it to Mavis tire 4 alignment and they can set front wheel alignment not rear though.

concerning grinding those bolts, is it a risk doing that - with the level of rusting - so close to the EVAP canister and or fuel components in case ther rusted thru an there could be a leak, basically could those sparks cause an explosion, mesa go boom boom or the grand daddy of all bonks?
