Thank you for your video! I was struggling with having to get a new hood because the pigtail plugin for this won't match the one on the hood itself. While watching the video I remembered that all I have to do is cut the pigtails, and wire them directly! You basically just saved me $200 because now all I have to do is order the fan. One thing to note for future: Keep your old bracket, and blade because the bracket screw holes might not line up with the hood's screw holes. All it takes is removing the two screws on the motor body, and the blade, and you can swap out the bracket. The reason to keep the fan is in the event it breaks you have a spare on hand. All these parts are pretty universal, but the pigtails are what's proprietary in a lot of them.

My westinghouse rangehood fan stopped stopped working, dropped it down, make sure power is turned off, didn't touch any wires, cleaned all the built up fats, tested and bingo, Fan working again. Clean it out first before you replace. Cheers for the video

I have a kemore kitchen exhaust fan and ordered a motor and thought it came with the impeller. I need to take off the old impeller and put it on the new motor but can’t see no pin to remove. It likes like it needs to pry off to remove. When I ordered it look like it came with the impeller but looking it closer it side motor. I can order the impeller by itself but then don’t know about it going on the motor as it looks like it needs to be press on. Hope you can help!

Sir the wiring from the old motor we have is all black how can I know where the red and white go?

The wires from my wall have no colored wires and i didnt take a picture. Am i screwed?

My fan mounts the opposite way so how do I reverse the rotation?

I need to remove the fan blade from the motor. Do you know how do this. The fan blade in not on a clip; attaching to the motor. it's the new type that's sold in the market today. It would be great if you cold explain how to remove the fan blade from the motor shaft. Thanks.

in some cases the non clip ones are push in pressure types, that can be pulled. have you tried that? if its a solid one piece, you might have to replace the entire motor with fan. also another way to attack it, you can search, if that particular model and brand has a fan blade replacement part, usually items comes with instructions, on how to replace or even give you information to know if its one entire piece or sometimes in the reviews there can be a DIY warrior that has some pointers on the install. good luck. let us know how it goes. So i ordered the fan motor replacement and installed it pretty easy . It worked on Low BUT when i switched it to High mode later on it broke again. Now it wont even work on low; dead again. What is really the problem? Please help 😢
