Finger oils on bulbs...is only an issue when dealing with tungsten/halogen bulbs made of quartz that can degrade from finger contaminates. They're quartz because regular glass could melt from the heat of the high-wattage filament in a halogen bulb. LEDs don't get very hot at all and indeed some LED "bulbs" even have envelopes made of plastic. I've seen this unnecessary warning several times.

Thanks for the video. I got the T7 15w LED at home depot however when I installed them it seems that only the high setting gives any light. The low setting the bulbs are on but so low it is almost no light. The guy actually recommended T7 40w LED. I guess I should have listened but I went with the video. Do you have any issues with the lower setting using the 15w LED bulbs or do you not use it at all ?

I've seen some strange circuitry used to dim filament bulbs. LEDs respond differently to filament bulb dimming circuits in a lot of cases.

Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Next step is the absolute most important step of your remaining project. DOUBLE CHECK THAT THE MICROWAVE IS 100% UNPLUGGED & ALL ELECTRICAL POWER IS 100% CUT/REMOVED. You can then carefully use a RUBBER coated grip tool such as pliers to grab ahold of broken part & remove it. Keep us posted! 😎👍🔧🔩

Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Most important thing to do first is verify microwave is 100% unplugged from outlet. You may need to visit your local hardware store where you can find a specific tool to remove base that’s stuck inside socket. We have had other viewers mention they used pliers however again you must verify 100% of all electrical power is removed from microwave. Keep us posted. 😎👍🔧🔩

I have changed bulbs over and over, different brands, neither will turn in. Stove had to have panel replaced and company doing ;the repair on the stove said microwave lights were not getting power. Would not fix this because they said they don't "do lights". Do you think it is the circuit board inside the microwave or something else?
