The best clarification on any video no matter the front suspension part, its all jam packed into this good job!
Very informative video. I just got my 10piece. I can’t wait to work on my 99gs400 suspension. Thanks man !

PASSED_12 are you trying to rebuild your front suspension, if so was the 10 piece enough for everything?

Hmmm. I got a 10 piece from them also about 6 months ago, about to install them within a few days. So how are the parts holding up?
Greetings from Australia. Great video & info, however, I always thought that all suspension components needed a final tighten & torque once the full weight of the car was on the ground, bit difficult I know without an inspection pit, but I have been toldthat in numerous workshop manuals & other how-to videos. Just wish parts down under were morecost effective like yours. Some of our prices for parts are prohibitive. Thanks mate.
Incredibly grateful to find this channel now I know where to get the information and the parts thank you guys very much .
Best how to video I ever watched. Great Job!! A +++
This guy is a pro thank buddy very good in explaining everything
A lot of good tips, and this whole demonstration is super helpful because it's very similar setup to an IS200 / 300. Nice one. But completely contrary to all that is 3:51 oh my word... Just use a ball joint separator FFS.
Awesome sauce 💪💪💪💪💪
Awesome video
Man this is perfect video Like from Hong Kong!
What camera did you use? Wow so clear.
Do you have to torque it down with the wheels on the ground or it doesnt matter?
I ordered a 10 parts kit for my Lexus SC430 and now I’m waiting to get the struts to do the job, too bad that A1 don’t sell the struts for my application. Thumbs way up on your video tutorial.

Great video for your job. It looks like you had better have a lift, air tools, and a strong arm. How did the job go?
Hey 1A Auto I was wondering what the peice you're supporting with your right hand at 20:02 on my GS-300 that part is very bent and needs replacing.
Where did you get the tensile information?
That strut bolt is an eccentric bolt used for alignment. You need to hold the nut and undo the bolt. That is why that but has those notches.
Where do I buy that impact
422- if that's what your into*? Lmao
hello i have the very same car (2000 lexus gs300) and just got the ball joint replaced because it failed while i was driving ( i was driving slow, no one was hurt but cost me a lot). Now i want to replace my shocks(with coilovers and a very conservative drop) as well as my upper and lower control arms to make my suspension more reliable. My friend has a lift and i plan to do the repairs myself with the kit you offer. Can I do this without ruining the new ball joint that was recently installed? I would appreciate a response thanks.

+Javier Pacheco You should be able to simply loosen the nut on the ball joint to lower the control arm and replace the struts/shocks. 1aauto.com

Did you ever figure it out? I also need that part
So this is pretty good video and it does show you how to do the job however I skipped a lot of these steps and was able to save time and effort. First off you don't need to remove the upper strut mount bolts you also don't have to remove the steering knuckle caliper or any of that stuff. If you're just doing lower control arms you don't need to do anything with upper control arm, sure doing all that gives you more room but the room gained for the amount of work is mimal.

Also just unbolt the lower ball joint from the knuckle but leave the ball joint in the control arm, pull the control arm and ball joint out as one (you're replacing both anyways)
Cool👍
Does this also apply to the 2001 GS430?

+Snib2987 Thanks for checking us out! Yes, this should be the same for the 2001-2005 GS430's. 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
is this the same setup as a 98-00 LS400?

+bad We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
How do you know if the lower control arms are bad? My Lexus dealer said mine need replaced, but I have no idea how to verify that. What goes wrong with them? Rust?

Look where its connected to the body. Probably worn out and you can see metal etc

control arms usually don't go bad, its the bushings that get rotten or cracked with time. So instead of changing the bushings, dealers charge you for the whole control arm. The sign of a bad control arm is usually clunking, tires getting unbalanced wear and so on.
@MRMAN-wb1tv

Bushings go bad. The arms themselves RARELY fail which could be catastrophic if steel snaps. It's labor intensive to remove the parts, remove the bushings, replace bushings, and reinstall the parts. So replacing the part is actually cheaper.
I just replace my lower control arms, but my drivers side grinds my rotor every time i make a left U turn...
Can anybody tell me the name of the other arm he screws the control arm into at 32:37

If its the long one bolted to the control arm with two bolts, it's the strut bar.
