Thank You, Just what I'm looking for, how to remove the back panel, I saw that I have to remove the metal wires, just as you showed in this video! I was realy strugling, but now I know! Very impressive, and the only video that showed this on You Tube! Maybe tomorrow I will have opened the backpanel too!

I have seen two of these repairs now and it surprises me that you can just knotch like that into the diffuser with nothing more than a utility knife. I would have been tempted to grind and polish with a dremel-like tool or even cut a whole length of strip from the edge to keep it uniformly wide and give the light the same travel distance. I tend to overthink these things :D

Nice work guys! Just two question. 1-Why did you need to pull those long metal sticks before removing the cover and when putting the cover back they didn't seem to matter? 2- Does the Q70R have those metal sticks? Regards/Ed

The back cover seems to latch on the wire when you put it back on and for disassembly you need to pull them out or the tabs might break off

Lol found this AFTER i broke some of the plastic. BIG question. The ribbon cables attached to the first panel you removed with suction cups. I had 1 that came loose from circuit board. How do you reattach. Second. There is a slight damaged piece in the middle of one of those ribbons. Appeared to have been there.... how can i find replacement ribbons for this? I cannot find a part number on it. Most importantly though how do you reattach to the circuit board

Great video! Question, I am working to replace the LEDs on a UN85AU8000F (85") and have gotten down to the LED Strips. They are clearly fried and need to be replaced; however, the connectors on the wire harness connecting the 4 strips to the board are not in good shape. I have been all over the internet to find replacements with no success. Do you have any advice on how to replace them? The LED Part number is LM41-01047A/C. Thanks!

Question . My edge light led melted a little bit of the thick diffuser panel which sits close to them. After replacing the strips I noticed a bit of light scatter around the bottom edge. I think it's because the led had made a little melt mark on the edge of the panel. Would it be OK to sand that edge with a fine sandpaper to bring a smooth finish back again? The panel is not the easiest thing to find anywhere used online. Any advice welcomed. 👍

Aqui no Brasil trocamos o painel acrílico difusor de luz quando este apresenta derretimento por calor. Custa caro mas o resultado fica perfeito. Quando não é trocado o difusor de luz, ficam manchas. Here in Brazil, we change the light diffusing acrylic panel when it melts due to heat. It is expensive but the result is perfect. When the light diffuser is not changed, stains remain.

Am un LG40UH630V caruia ii clipeste ledul rosu de 3 ori cand il aprind dar nu afiseaza nimic pe display, e negru complet, iar pe placa sursei de alimentare in partea de secundar clipeste un led de 5 ori si repede. La bornele de testare tensiune leduri am 17 V in loc de 13,2. Daca ati mai intalnit acest tip de defect! Va multumesc anticipat!

Hi, Great video. I change my LED the same way and it worked. But after few hours of screen time few LED died off. What could be the reason?? I bought my LED from AliExpress. I also noticed that when I changed my LED the previous once were burned and it burned the white panel a little bit too. I am guessing my TV might have something else faulty like on board which controls power to LED. Please let me know if you have some clue???

Aqui substituo o resistor de limitação de corrente que fica no Dreno do fet de controle de corrente na placa da fonte. É de baixo valor, geralmente de menos de 1 ohm, suba o valor em aproximadamente 50% maior.

6:22 seconds in when you switch it on, mine isn't doing that with the old SMD's I wanted to see which ones were faulty, so all I can do I guess is fit the new ones and put it back together and then hope for the best I guess. (Of course just all the components connected etc.)

I’ve got a 3 year old Samsung 65” tv that the backlighting burnt out . I replaced the light strips but the white plastic that sits against the chassis melted slightly and cracked from when the lights burnt out . The picture is beautiful but you can see light at the very bottom and the cracks appear through the glass . Is there anyway to fix this ? Can I purchase this item ? I don’t even know what it’s called . It’s a shame to get rid of the tv . Any help will be greatly appreciated

BUT .. please explain, why do you have to cut out part methods from the video, one second the white plastic rectangle "ring" is out the next second is already on .. it is missing key parts .. and the whole story is become unuseful.. it would be 30sec extra to show those moments.. please explain why you have to remove those

I recommend you put on some latex gloves to handle the plastic sheets that are inside since you leave grease from your hands on them and then stains appear.

So when you're putting the black screen back on and you have that little metal with all those green Flaps attached to it that is connected to the bottom of the screen I accidentally ripped one of those off from the metal how do I renew it back on

when the dust enters in the backlight layers there is no way to get it out,all those efforts are in vain-its working but will look ugly

In Western Europe, this kind of repair would cost as much as a new TV, if not more.
